If you sign it, the jackbooted thugs in the black helicopters will know who to track down first when the time comes.

Okay first of all I'm against this....there are only a TEENY amount of streetcars turned into racecars and it's much more productive to regulate cars, farm/chem industry, etc.
BUT this does not mean we cannot mod our cars. There was another thread that was titled something like "We cannot have PCDs, HFPCs, J-pipes, etc." Which is completely misleading
This, as far as I know, WOULD HAVE VERY LITTLE IMPACT on bolt-on and minor performance mods. As long as these mods are currently emissions legal. Plenty of people probably run straight pipes and exhaust cut outs or PCDs and are going under the radar already
Very few of us casual enthusiasts (such as on this forum) actually has the money/time/skill to turn our streetcars into true track machines.

The transportation industry is a small potato in comparison to animal agriculture. According to a world watch report from 2009 (http://www.worldwatch.org/files/pdf/Livestock%20and%20Climate%20Change.pdf) animal agriculture accounts for 51% of green house gas. The EPA seems to only be concerned with carbon emissions, meanwhile methane emissions continue to increase and cause more harm than a 4 banger's measly exhaust fumes... Just a thought.
