Hey jay,

I love the looks of that silver TL exhaust. But I'm still new to all these modifications and I want to do the same but I am confused on what you mean by staggered tips? Can you please explain?

Staggered tips just means one sticks out further than the other. In the pic below, the one on the bottom is staggered.

These are 4" tips. I got a local shop to install the tips and mufflers for $200. They did stagger the tips. All in I spent about $500 parts and labor. I have the Takeda SRI, J-Pipe and the Magnaflow set up was the icing on the cake in regards to sound and performance for me. Here is a pic.

Just bought the same set up for my cbp. I'll post some videos once it comes in and installed!

Just got my stuff in guys super excited to get them on. So I'm going to get them staggered but what would be the measurement on that about half an inch?

Would anyone be interested in a combo package? We could put together a couple muffler and tip packages to help save some money.

Hey guys so today I went to a muffler shop today and the guys told me that it might be a tough one for my muffler because it's a center with dual 2.25 in and out. Due to that the oem muffler's pipe is offset it might be tough. How would you guys do it with a center and dual if the oem muffler is offset?

Well we could do this setup:

Hmm, you could try angling the mufflers, but than your tips will be angled too. You could try finding a single inlet muffler that's offset, with a dual tip centered outlet?

Problem is that I can't find a offset inlet with dual outlet.

I tried searching through Magnaflow, Vibrant options, etc. I wasn't able to find one like that either. I guess as a last resort you could do offset inlet, to a centered outlet and do the dual staggered tips like in post #42?

Did you order the exact same parts as the other poster? If so, how is it he had no issues getting them installed but you have? Maybe try a different shop?

I got them installed now. The first muffler shop I went to had no clue what he was talking about. The second shop I went to and the guy knew exactly how I wanted it and got it done!

Oh awesome, post up pics when you can, I'm thinking I'm going to do something very similar, but likely using the eBay tips posted earlier in the thread as those seem like they are quite nice and should all bolt up fairly easily, along with the 11225 mufflers.

*Please note: I did a pretty detailed search regarding the below question, but wasn't able to find a definite answer, thus my post below. Sorry if it has been answered, I may not have come across it.

If you guys don't mind me asking about your setup, has anyone experienced the drone factor between 1800-2000 rpm? I ask because last week I did the same exhaust setup with the Magnaflow single inlet/dual outlet (2.25") and the 3.5" tips.

I had both resonators removed prior to installing the muffler and tips. Once the magnaflows were put on, I had a skull crushing vibration/interior drone at app. 2000 rpm.

I brought car back to the muffler shop today and they put both factory resonators back on. The car is still vibrating/droning bad inside the car.

Has anyone figured out a solution to this?

Since the 11225 mufflers are not a direct fit on the FWD TL, the shop where I got my mufflers installed had to make custom hangers ($40 each: 2 for each side). Did anyone else who owns a 2012+ FWD TL run into this issue?
Hi, I am looking to this seller's tip. But there is few pictures. And my ride is 2012 Fwd white. If possible, could you post a couple of pictures of your white tl. I can have them as reference. Because currently, I installed the quad tips on local custom exhaust shop. the work is bad. tip is low quality. I am going to cut them off, and install better quality tips. only I can find is on the ebay which is the same as your post.

Thanks

Nice setup! I am a fan of magnaflow. I'm curious to how much drone you may have? I would like some rumble but don't want too much. I like to enjoy my music.
