I was able to get 6 passes in. Best was a 15.430 . traps were in the 84-87mph range. My best reaction time was a .194 I was killing people on the tree but got driven around at half track. I had a ton of people come up to me and ask about it, the tuning bolt on parts and stuff. I ended up going against my brother a few times he has a '14 fiat abarth, with a flasher with custom tune, catless 3" dp making close to 220whp, he weighed in at 2700 with him in the car and I was at 4060lbs with 3/4 a tank of fuel, spare and full interor. I'm still in the retune for the downpipe and will go back when everything is said and done with the tune and I'll go up on a empty tank and get back at it. I also got my new bov that I picked up today. A real deal greddy type-s. It resembles the stock bov the best and should fit under my engine cover. Also the outlet is smaller and should work with the stock recirc pipe fine.

I have been having fun following your all's build and tune threads here. I'll live vicariously through y'all since our RDX isn't going to see the bulk of performance mods out of our cars.

What were the stock quarter mile times on these? I thought I read 15.3 somewhere. You've definitely got more left in it with that 60'. Is it bogging down out of the hole? Also curious about your launch technique at the track (VSA off? Brake boost? Etc)

So Vit took a look at my last datalog and says that my tune is all done! I have to admit the butt dyno says that it yanks super hard.
Fortunately, I've got an appointment tomorrow at the /real/ dyno. We'll see what it says!

Nice Wrench. So that was on stock unmodified turbo? I see your sig you've got the Blouch 20T turbine upgrade but I'm assuming you haven't had the chance to get it to the dyno nor track yet?
If you are shooting for the 325-350 awhp mark, I'm calculating a near 4.5 sec 0-60 and low to mid 13s in the quarter...dare I say the highest of 12s if the 0-60 ft time is sufficiently low enough and you can launch hard?

yep that was on the stock catback
with: ETS topmount, 800cc DW injectors, CP-e intake, HONDATA flashpro, thermal gasket, RV-6 cat less downpipe. and me tuning!
new setup will be
Blouch PerformanceTurbo upgrade, FLETCHER built 3.5 MAF housing Treadstone performance 700 hp rated Front mount intercooler, tial recirculated bpv, MBS cat back 3" 409 stainless steel mandrel bent exhaust, hondata flashpro 1000cc DW injectors, 65C DW DROP IN FUEL PUMP, all tuned by vit viper!

Just mess'n, making sure you're still on your toes. See, you are the leader of this wolf pack! Now lets see some huge numbers and quick 1/4 mile times, not sure if there are any circuit tracks there. If so, hell pull some good lap times. I will be shortly behind you trying to spooling, I have hight hopes for my setup; however, it might need a little push start. Maybe NOS, maybe twin charging not sure yet.
#188
Well you two are pure inspiration! Thank you for the amazing ideas and for actually going forth and trying to push this vehicle to where it should and could be. It is a good stiff platform, excellent awd system, good seats, good engine, good handling, good size, and lastly good looking. It really has a lot of potential. I only wish Acura was slightly more aggressive with the factory tune, used a dual clutch transmission and that they would have made it about 300-500 pounds lighter. Then it would have been a true rocket.
I wonder if the transmission and engine could even handle a twin turbo setup.

i know when im at the track brake boosting gives me more than a sec faster in the 1/4 vs non brake boosting. 15.7 my best to date tuned and intake in colorado.

6 speed auto would be amazing.
So, my vit tune's just finished up, and it didn't even need WOT tuning at the dyno I went to.
Results? 207whp, 222 wtq. Not bad at all, I think, considering my mod set - I'm pretty much running nothing other than ETS intercooler, RV6 downpipe, flashpro, and 800cc injectors. Max duty only 52% on the latter, so if I went further I'd have a lot of headroom there.
For now I'm just going to sit on things, and wait until all the kinks are worked out of Wrench's 3.5" MAF housing and tune. Since I'm at 4.85v on my MAF sensor, I'd max it out if I did a catback at this point.
I think that must be where I'm losing boost up top: the turbo can't push any harder against the exhaust restriction. But to do exhaust I'd need more room on the MAF sensor...and...
So! Keep us updated and let us know when you've got a tuned that's scaled for your 3.5" Wrench!

Confused. HP rating from factory is 240bhp, so roughly 200-205whp estimate considering drivetrain loss. I was under the impression that a tune, especially a VIT tune, on top of intake/downpipe/injectors has been yielding somewhere around 250-270whp.
#197
I agree. I am trying to keep in mind that dynos vary in function and power/tq measurements, and some read much lower than others, however just seems extremely low. Really hoping it was the dyno calculations and not actual output. I would think with those mods and VIT tune people are typically gonna end up in the 250-275whp range.
#200
Well, these are the results that I got at this dyno, and it seems like it's a pretty good shop. He told me that he'd had a few stock ones on the dyno, and they all hit at about 170-175 awhp.
This was my second visit to the shop, and I was all set up to hire him to fine tune me at WOT. He only charged me for 3 pulls and said that he couldn't do better than the VIT tune, that everything looked fine. I'll be happy to post up datalogs from the pulls and the information he got.
Give about 28% power loss in the drivetrain based on this information, that means that I'm about 290 at the crank? compared to 240 stock? I'm personally not disappointed in that at all.
