Prothane Total kit!

Hey there again RDX peps! I will be sending most of my suspension pieces to Prothane in the next two weeks, so they can do some R&D work on our suspension bushing. Basically they will take out the rubber bushing and replace them with polyurethane. After the do R&D I was told that the kit would be available to the public. This is what I'm sending there for R&D.

Front lower control arm
Front sway bushing
Motor mounts
Torque mounts
Rear upper control arm
Rear lower control arm
Rear trailing arm
Rear sway bar bushing
Rear toe bar
Rear Diff bushing
Rear damper bushing
Rear cross member

Mine came with both, and I did mention that to Prothane. However, they made a good point and said they would need the stock rear sway bar bushing, because not everybody will run the upgraded sway bar.

Just getting everything off, got held up during the holidays. Just need to drop the rear subframe, still waiting on new parts from Acura to get here. Like ball joints and small things here and there.

that's a big diet that's like Lexan instead of glass and sending parts out to be made of dry carbon fiber. a lot of parts.

Very cool. I had a complete bushing kit installed in my SRT-4. Difference was definitely noticeable. Firmed things up nicely, ride really didn't suffer, although some creaks became apparent. Just have to make sure they are lubed good.

I got an email from Prothane, they're asking for VIN numbers to see what other models the kit will fit. I am assuming the kit will be for both the TB1 and TB2. Will keep everyone post as I get more info.

Yep, guess the Megan coilover/shock kit and Progress RSB I'm about to slap on will be good practice for taking everything apart & reassembling it all - that shit's going on ASAP! Not waiting on the Prothane bushings, but I will get most of them when they become available. My wife's gonna hate me! Her and my daughter will need mouthpieces when they ride around...

I'm guessing these bushings will need to be pressed in, so the labor would be pretty extensive and expensive, too?

I'm not sure if you will be able to burn them out or if they need to be pressed out. From the past most of the Prothane stuff had to be pressed out.
