Found the leak, I was wondering where that coolant smell was coming from. I will have this cut and welded tomorrow.

What the fuck, did they think it was a direct injection engine or something? That is insane, good thing it didn't pop already.

Premium is about the same here, but we only drop about 12-15 cents per grade. Regular is still 1.8x. It certainly is nice to get full tanks of gas for under 40 bucks.

Yeah, it sucks. The shop didn't want to do it. Because of all the wiring under the seat, they didn't want to be liable if somebody died in a car accident.

I have said it before, and I will say it again LOVE those wheels. What are the specs? I like the stock wheels, but wish they were 20's and were pushed out about an inch more to be in line with the fenders.

Thanks, yeah I never liked that sunken in look. Makes it look like a granny mobile. The more aggressive wheels really bring out the swag. There are multiple wheel sizes and options. What you see there is the 20x10 +40 TSW Nurburgring w/ 275/45r20, you can also look here https://acurazine.com/forums/tires-w...tested-921146/ for other options.

Thanks for the link, will go look through it!

Wow 275!! AWESOME!!! I am going to install 235 wide winters and hopefully next summer change out the stock tires/winters for 20's with 275 wide tires.

Currently highly interested in these, vossen cv3 wheels, or another set of tsw wheels that look like large 5 spoke wheels. Simple and clean but forgot their name.

I am guessing stock wheels have an offset of 32 or something like that, and I too hate the sunken in granny look. Pushing them out not only looks better, but widens the track and helps with stability in the twisties (so both safer and more stylish!)

Those Vossen cv3 wheels are legit! The stock wheel spec are 18x7.5 +45 btw.

Good lord, I can't EVER get offset right in my head. A lower offset mean a lower number which means it sticks out more yes or no?

I was set on the vossens until I seen your wheels.....I can't decide anymore!

Oh makes sense, because offset is a measure of the length of the inner hub.

The Vossens I am looking at are reps, there is a local rim dealer who has all different colors in 20X8.5 with 32 offset for $1200 including shitty tires. But I have seen some private ones being sold for ~$1500 and they are the real deal. I guess since I can't decide between your wheels and the vossens anymore, I will get what is cheaper when the time comes. Still have a few months.

Not sure if a 265 would look proper on an 8.5 wide tire.

Curious why spend the money on a cnc head when the car is barely tuned? I had a friend years ago when 4piston was getting started send in a k20a3 head. Similar to the k23 head on the intake side where the ports cross over. Even after the porting the head still flowed like crap. Prb heads still trumped them.

I'm curious what makes you so curious about this build and money? You've gone on about wasting money for a year now on this build thread...? The car is fine and runs good. It will be tuned soon. I'm in the process of a motor build and the head will be the first to get done. Let me guess, that's a waste of money, right? I'm sorry your friends head didn't go as planned. Go get you a K23a1 block and mate it with a PRB head and let me know how that goes.

Just a question lol. I'm the type of guy that doesn't throw money at a car when it's not needed. Simplicity is key to me. So to me porting the head would be a waste, yes. It's your money, so spend it how you wish. Just tossing my advice out there.

Thanks for the advice, they are going to see what they can do with it. It's not a sure thing they can do anything. It's a throw away head.

(Where were you when I spent 40k on shoes, could have used a friend like you to tug on my shoulder and give me awkward look, while shaking your head NO.)

It sucks the ports are the way they are. I was disappointed when I first pulled the intake manifold off.

If you're spending that on shoes, sell them and the rdx and get a X5M lol. The hell with these slow suvs.
