I did the V1 catch can yesterday evening, that's the simplest mod on the planet. I checked it this evening after driving about 75 miles and there's quite a bit of oil in the tube already! If it keeps accumulating that quickly, I might have to upgrade to the V2. Hard to believe that used to be going into my intake and burning. Great mod, JTso.

Hey Pete, I'm glad it works out for you. Btw, what's the mileage on your car? Does it use oil?

Mileage is about 23,600 mi. It uses a little oil, I usually have to add maybe 1/2 quart over 5,000 miles between oil changes. I'm going to keep track of how much oil collects in my catch can vs. mileage, just for information's sake.

I'm collecting about 2-3cc every 5k. I definitely notice the catch can working if I hit VTEC.

well bringing this thread back from the dead. is it still worth doing this mod if I havent done it and have been driving the car for two years. also is doing a can like the cusco can which does not have a filter atleast better than not having a catch can at all. I am wondering cause it would look much better for show however I still want it to actually accomplish something good for the car.

I'm not sure about the first part, but there is no real function for the Cusco, or other cans without filters. Without the filter the oil really wont accumulate in the can because its just vapor.

I think you should get the Greddy can instead of the cusco

I haven't been measuring the amount of oil in the can when I empty it (I said I would but, who am I kidding, I'm much too lazy for that kind of data collection). I check my oil once/week and empty it as needed, probably every 3 or 4 weeks. Great mod, though, think of the oil I'm no longer burning and the by-products I'm no longer accumulating. Good deal for a $12 mod.

Hi there, I am wondering what do you do with all the oil that you have collected in the tank? Do you put it back into the engine lol? If you dont doesnt that mean your car is consuming quite a lot of oil?

The engine didn't really "consume" the oil collected in the can. You would empty the can and replenish fresh oil to the engine if necessary.

They are air compressor filters. You should be able to find them at places that sell air compressors and accessories.
