Whats the major differences? I was looking for a 2006 but I don't see why I shouldn't just buy a 2005

2005 was the second year of the TSX and Acura updated it with XM Satellite Radio,a four-way power passenger seat and illuminated the steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls.[6] In 2006, the TSX was updated with slight tweaks to the engine (adding 5 hp); a sportier exterior styling featuring a slightly new front and rear treatment, standard side skirts, and standard, integral fog lights; and restyled wheels.[7] Interior tech features were added, including a Multi-information Display (MID) in the instrument panel, and luxury features such as a two-position memory for the driver's seat adjustments, auxiliary MP3 player input and Bluetooth-compatible HandsFreeLink (for cellular phones).[8] In 2007, Tire Pressure Monitoring System and an improved electronic rear view mirror were added, and the 2008 model year brought a new color option.

the K24 receive a minor engine tweak to reduce engine pumping loss, increase between 10-15HP, something that can not DYI from 04 and 05. and i believe the exhaust header was cast into the block in 07 and 08. so the 06 IS the best in term of engine mod potentials.

I have a 06 mt and love it. Go 06 for the aux input alone lol, many 04-05 owners wish they had that. Gl with your purchase!

I had both for many years (an 05 and an 07), and though the added extras of the 06-08 mean little to me, even less so the "extra horsepower" of the newer cars. I would challenge anyone to tell (or feel) the difference between the two if somehow you could drive them back to back without knowing which was which. And I'm sure that most of those who crow about how much better the 06-08 cars are have little or no experience with an 05. Unfortunately, they're all getting pretty old now, with the 05's being 9 years old. I don't doubt that I'm in the minority, but I wouldn't ignore a nice 05 if I were looking and found one. For one thing, they're cheaper to buy, insure, and register. It's up to you to decide what the updated do-dads on the 06-08 cars (more stuff to break too, now that they're getting older) are worth to you.

I spent the 40 bucks on the aux input adapter that you plug in through the cubby hole in the dash on the 04. No big deal.

I have 152k on the 04 MT, been very reliable so far (besides a strange gas pedal failure).

I bought USA-SPEC PA15-HON2 on eBay 4 years ago, it works great, never had any problems with it.
There are videos of the install on YouTube.

The difference in performance is pretty significant in 06-08 compared to 04-05. Here are some hard stats and numbers: http://www.hondata.com/tech_06_tsx.html

Previously the 06 year was hailed king of year for performance tune ability. Now the 07-08 is the new king because the ease of compatibility with FlashPro. 04-06 TSX have to change out their ECU to 07-08 in order to use FlashPro.
