I gotta go with lowering. Interior is one of the car's best features, why change is? An engine mod might bring on tranny issues ( then 6mt all the way!). I like 2g typs s wheels better than most aftermarket ones. OEM kit would've been my #2.

In my opinion, the first modification you should make is the integration of periods in your grammar.

You should always type correctly or not be taken seriously. Just as if you spoke uneducated amongst others. You'd be taken for a fool or a joke. Just my .02. Live and learn. Welcome to the board. Which model TL do you have?

you will get more help from this forum if you use language that everyone can understand. punctuation is key.

performance mods = big bucks

so you are better off spending the money on proper maintenance and appearance mods like OEM lip kit, lowering, and other suspension modifications.

The best mod for your car would be headers. Just this upgrade will yield upwards of 30hp. PM me bro or i/m me. I may need to pm u since you're a new member. Let me know.

For $45 you can drop in a K&N air filter and while you are at it yank out the intake resonator. It's good for 5hp....

The best mod is headers of course but if you have a mechanic put them in it cost about $350 in labor plus the cost of the headers which I think you can get for $125 on Ebay.

Did you really pay $350 to change headers in labor? I think you should not go back to the same mechanic again. Sorry no offend. I asked 3 different shop and price range from 120 to 150 or some members did free by themselves.

For springs and shocks: H&R Sport springs and Koni Yellow shocks

For coilovers: Tein Basic/SS for ride quality, Function and Form Type 1 or Type 2 for slammage

Upgrading the rear sway bar with help with handling as well.

Remember that most 98-02 Accord suspension parts will fit the TL (springs, shock, sways, etc)

Upgrading BOTH swaybars will help handling even more than just the rear

First modification would be, use of search button, however I think that the first mod i should have done was the intake res removal with the k/n drop in filter.

the first mods i did for my car were a debadge of the trunk (leaving only the A) and i also got my windows tinted. It was right before summer, so it was appropriate. I didn't like driving in a fishbowl. On my car for the tint i got 35% in front, and 5% in the back. In retrospect, i should have gone either 35/20 or 20/5.

Focusing on engine, I'd start off with a CAI (I'd also throw in spacers from outlawengineering), then gradually going onto headers and exhaust components.

Focusing on visual, definitely start off with lowering it. Tien SS for a moderate drop with good ride quality, but FF1's will be the best bang for buck if you want to slam it.

hope i helped!

"To get the Best out of Her"

Well I Always think in $$$$ Sooo....

Lowering might be the Right Choice since Most mods in the Engine Bay are Kinda Expensive anyway, Im Myself lowered 1.5-.7 Love it! I just did it to get rid of the Infamous gap between Fender and Tire.

But Driving wise, A proper Set of Anti-Roll bars (Think Eibach) will help a heck ton More than Lowering.

I too have the same factory white 2002 TL-S. Just got mine back from the body shop and looking to do a few things to it. Great advice! Definitely gonna remove the resonator and drop in a K&N filter. Thanks!

In my opinion, lowering on springs is a good start (Tein's for me). A lot of visual bang for your buck. There are a ton of free and almost free mods you can do. Debadging and repainting plastics are my favorites.

Id go coilovers since they are fully adjustable where you will just have to live with what it looks like with springs. I purchased the Ksport coilovers.. and absolutely love them, honestly the ride comfort is amazing. I am extremely happy with my purchase, then again they are about $1k and are 36 way adjustable. For headers, DCheaders for days, those are the best bang for your buck. I went with a SRI mostly for that super throaty result of giving it some gas, and I have always been weary of hydro lock although many people on here will say that wont happen with a cold air intake. And last but not least if your looking for a little tone there are multiple axel back exhausts that are made to fit our cars, along with the ATLP exhausts that are a cat-back system. The ATLP sounds amazing, and also looks amazing, but then again its around $1k. These TLs are expensive to mod, but they sure are beautiful cars. So congradulations on your purchase!

Wow this was an old thread, but like has been previously suggested make sure the car is in good condition, then start with the basics, springs or coils, CAI, header, then cat back. There are lots of options search around and check the Black Market.

Dont yank your resonator it eliminates backpressure in the intake
