Spark Plugs for Comptech Supercharger
Hi guys,
Just picked up a supercharger for a Automatic 2005 Acura TL and wondering if I should stick with regular spark plugs or should I go with one step colder plugs. I also want to be able to drive my car without the supercharger if need be.
Thanks for any help

Not sure if OP understands how a SC works .. or if he's wanting to run colder plugs just for the heck of it while the SC becomes a paperweight on his garage floor.

1) One step cooler is only detrimental to the spark plug if detrimental at all.
2) Without a proper tune and proper safeguards against knock, you're going to have a bad time.. mmmkay. S/C kit isn't slap on and go as many would like you to believe.
3) AT transmission..

No no no... apparently I wasn't clear. Let me rephrase
1 - If I install supercharger do I NEED to change the spark plugs that are currently in my car to colder plugs.
2- If I do need colder plugs and the supercharger breaks, stops working, needs maintenance etc, and I remove the supercharger, then do I also need to change the colder plugs back to regular plugs.
Thank ya

The CT kit literally comes with spark plugs. That should answer your questions.

Yes you must use colder plugs with SC or pre ignition is possible from the plug electrode or ground strap glowing red hot, no you do not need to take them out if you remove the SC they will just get dirty faster and possibly foul out,
