RV6 V2 True Dual Exhaust for '04-'08 TL Type-S Quads [FINAL BATCH]

Back in 2010 RV6 set out to build the very best exhaust for the 3G TL. We came up with a truly unique design that everyone fell in love with. The resulting system was very expensive to manufacture and took a large investment to get started. We never made much if any money on the systems and it was more of a learning experience.

At this point we only have parts on the shelf to build another 10 exhaust systems. Once we run out of parts we will not be ordering more. Investment is simply too great for little to no return.

The final batch will consist only of Type-S quads tips. These tips will only be available in polished stainless steel and have the RV6 Logo etched in. This system will bolt right up to a Type-s. In order for it to work on a base TL you will need to get an ASPEC Type-S lip or Type-S bumper. These options will run you ~$250-300 from the dealer. The ASPEC Type-S lip is recommended as it comes prepainted. The Type-s bumper is primed and will require painting.

We are currently taking deposits for the final batch. Production has begun and will take 2-3 months to complete.

Cost of system: $1500

Deposits: $500

Remaining payment: $1000+shipping

DEPOSIT: RV6 TRUE DUAL EXHAUST FOR '04-'08 TL TYPE-S QUADS FINAL BATCH

***System does not include a Jpipe***

For the true dual purest we will be offering a V3 X-Merge Jpipe with this system for $700.

Stock TL with RV6 Exhaust and V3 Jpipe
16 WHP peak gained
19 WTQ peak gained

Sad, sad day. This is truly one of the best exhaust systems out there for the 3G. Do not miss this opportunity!

Richie, will you still be able to do X-merge conversions for those of us that have the regular cross pipe connection?

Not sure yet. If we need to cannibalize the tooling for new products we might.

I doubt it would make a huge difference. There are only like 3-4 x merge setups built.

Wow I can't believe an exhaust system costs you so much to manufacture. That is some really nice metal work though. You guys have really outdone yourselves!

We might have a few systems extra depending on if anything gets screwed up during production. Things can get dropped or the stainless can warp during welding. I didn't want to over sell and disappoint. Email us there is a list.

That wouldn't be fair to people that purchased the real thing.

Just got my HFPC's and TD installed yesterday and while it sounds freaking awesome, the noise and vibes inside the cabin are fairly loud with a serious drone at 2.5k which is common with the feedback. Is there a break-in period where it tames down after a while?

Hey Hacura! I don't have the hfpc's but when I first installed the exhaust it was pretty loud right around the 2.5k rpm area initially. It will mellow out with time.

That's interesting to know I just got it recently as well but for some reason I really like the way it is. I installed it on Tuesday this past week and I haven't even tried playing music in the car as I've been loving hearing the exhaust note

Thanks bud, I've heard similar. It's great overall, just the sweetspot (2.5k) of my granpa driving hits a fairly loud roar. I would have thought to keep it tame under 3k and let it roar after but I don't know anything about audio tuning an exhaust.

I jumped from a V3 J-Pipe to full setup with HFPC's and TD.

I just got an emissions light/warning come up last night on my way back from work. I just installed the system last Tuesday and I didn't have any problems since then. Does anybody have any pointers, I was thinking if it was related to the setup it would've showed up as soon as I installed all the components.

If you didn't clear your ECU after the install the trims could be off causing your ECU to throw a code. With all these mods you might get a random CEL every once in a while. However they usually go away on their own the next drive cycle.

Thanks for the quick response Richie. I did clear the ECU after the install and I just assumed that's why I didn't have any problems. If the code just comes on every once in a while then I'm not at all concerned as far as I can still pass GA emissions which was why i went with the HFPC's instead of PCD's.

Shameless plug for my video. This video was made right after I installed the exhaust you can hear the loud rpm area you describe in the interior clips. I should do an update since my exhaust is over 2 years old now!

If it happens a lot you can use a small defouler. But it shouldn't be much of a issue.

Maybe if we got 10+ people together. The system is simply too expensive the make at the quality we are putting out.

I was planning on going with the XLR8 system through HeelToe, but this is really tempting.
