Here is the stock clip, It has some ambient feedback but its a good clip.
It takes about 1 minute to connect and buffer. Putfile is kind of slow but it's reliable.

I think I'll go that route and maybe do the mid later. I'll go make a stock sound clip now. I'm just worried about how it will sound after its uploaded.

Alright, I've done it. Here is the sound clip of the exhaust after the mid-muffler was removed. After reviewing the clips, it sounds alot more drastic than it really is.
Keep that in mind.

Shit its does have a good sound difference. thanks for posting up vids quickly Impo!
Now can you get some vids of the car under load.. such as inside the car while driving. then leave the cam behind (recording) and drive off.

From idle to about 3500/4000 under load you get a noticeably deeper tone, like the G35. I give this for one of the cheapest modifications.

I'll see if it will work tomorrow after work. I'll most likely have a few more clips by this time tomorrow, such as under load inside car, under load drive-by, under load drive-off, and another no-load rev clip.

I'm sure my laptop will get a more quality recording from outside tomorrow.

I do love the sound though. Sounds like a g35 but a lot smoother !
I just wish it was a tad bit more noticeable. I know that gale-speed had his resonator removed along with the mid-muffler, and had bad rasp. So I was thinking about the option of removing the stock resonator, BUT replacing it with a smaller resonator, that would eliminate the rasp, but hopefully bring up the sound a notch.
Now my question to those exhaust savvy, does anyone know if the resonator has to be tuned, or a specific size, length so that it will not produce a rasp? I guess we can only experiment with different resonators and hope one will be the right one.
Since we got this far, does anyone know which aftermarket resonator to start with? ??

Is the stock exhaust stainless? If so, are you guys getting the straight pipe in stainless as well?

Does removing the center muffler have any effect on the warranty? I'm thinking about doing this, but I don't want to jeopardize my coverage.

depends. if your catalytic converter fails the dealer cant (sucessfully) pin that on the removal of the muffler...but if your system develops rust holes then maybe. ive seen, mainly on east coast cars, mufflers rotted out because the inside of the exhaust pipe began to blister and sent all those little bits into the muffler....aside from that i dont think there is much that will go wrong

OK i just got it done today... 35 bucks at a shop in Rowland Heights called Speedway Muffler.. took about 20 minutes.
At first I didn't notice anything major because my intake kinda overpowers the sound... but a little after I began to notice the "g35" exhaust noise.. just a little..
I guess it's a pretty nice mod for 35 bucks and people are saying it gets louder with time?
Overall = but would like it to be more noticeable!

It seems that when its cold I get this high pitch whistle at about 2500 rpm and fades above that.
It sound like a shrill type whistle. But it did seem to disapate after the car warmed up. Still I don't know if its due to a small pin hole that was missed in welding the tube in or if its just the way it is.
Let me know
Thanks
Jeff

you could order a short dynomax 'silver bullet' and replace the oem resonator with it and see how you like the tone. if you dont want to go with a shorter magnaflow resonator i would rec. them...they are inexpensive and well made.

also along with AZNBO's question id also like to know....the resonator....how does the size affect the noise? is it the bigger the louder? (18" = louder) and the smaller the less noise...(14" least loud) or is it the other way around

update:
its DEFINITELY gotten louder.. or is it a psychological thingie... but now its STRAIGHT UP SEX . my friend said to leave it like this and forget the mufflers I was thinking of putting on... it's got that hint of ANGRY RAWRness without being overpowering.

I think the greater it is, the less noise you get. Bigger = more silencing. Correct me if im wrong. Does anyone know the approximate lenght of the stock resonator?

Yea its sex! lol, but I wish it was a BIT more present liek it is on the g35's. Btw, do you have any other mods, or an intake? I was thinking about the intake, but I dont want it to drown out the exhaust since its so quiet.
