Exhaust

Which j-pipe and I'm guessing cat back combo will not throw any codes? I want the extra power but not have codes or the ricer sound on my base TL.

since there are no sensors on the third cat or exhaust system, You can freely change out the jpipe and exhaust system without throwing codes.

Which j-pipe are you going with, if you mind me asking.. I'm still in debate between 2 brands. Choices

I've got the XLR8 v2 J-pipe which removes the 3rd cat. Since it isn't a monitored cat, no codes. And after eliminating the 3rd cat, there was a touch more sound, but more like a growl than anything ricey. 2 things will definitely cause rasp/ricer sound-no factory resonator and precat deletes. You can replace the factory resonator with an aftermarket one for better (deeper) sound though, and apparently you can add a second resonator to get rid of precat delete rasp.
