Question Cold Air Intake (CAI)

Is it a good idea to slap it on during raining season? or a bad idea, because water will go into it?

If you are in Buffalo, NY right now, I'd probably not put it on, but I also wouldn't drive in that weather. Otherwise, I'd say you'll be fine.

You'll be fine. In order for you to suck in enough water to cause any damage, you have to submerge the entire filter in the water. I don't know about you, but I'm not driving through a puddle (small pond) that deep LOL.

Best intake for these cars is the AEM V2. We have them in stock and ready to go!

I have an Injen CAI on my TL plus I have Injen's intake hydro shield. Give it a quick internet search, this will make you feel better during your rainy season.

You have to be very careful and not drive hard during a storm. You'll be fine, but if you see standing water you HAVE to avoid it, it's not an option.
And the hydro shields are snake oil, I know that first hand and second hand.

Snake oil? Due explain!

I tested mine by sticking it under the faucet and it worked. If you fully submerge the filter then the hydro shield won't work. It's the whole waterproof vs water resistant concept.

Had an AEM cai on my 4th gen Accord for 5 years, never had any problems at all driving in the rain, even on road trips. No issues after several months with an AEM v2 now on my current Accord.
