Get an inspection before January 1, and you're good for another year on current windows. BS law. As long as the car has two side mirrors, you can essentially have 5% tint on the back window. How does that make a cop pulling over said car any safer? He's sitting directly behind that black window while he's radioing in your info. He has no idea what's behind the glass.
Still not clear on coupes. They can't check a rear side window in a coupe with a meter, and it's BS if all the SUV's and trucks with factory rear tint are exempt.
