Some tidbits from here: Is this the future of Formula 1? Ferrari concept | crankandpiston.com Car Culture Lifestyle
Fancy seeing a grid of 20 cars like this waiting? This is Ferrari’s concept of what Formula 1 cars of the future could look like.
The Scuderia’s design studio – Centro Sile Ferrari – worked with the team’s aero department to come up with the design. The aim was to create an F1 car that was not only technologically advanced, but that also looked both beautiful and aggressive without radically overhauling the current technical rules. And this is the result.

I agree with this. The very first thing that came to mind when I saw it was why?!?! This is not Indy car and please don't make it such.

When I saw the rear, Indy was the first thing that came to my mind.

"curvy" is not the problem; having the wheels partially covered definitely is, that and the low wing. It looks like it's trying to be an open cockpit prototype. Seriously dislike.

As a concept, it's not a bad design at all. Indycar would be lucky if it's cars looked like this, but they don't. The current Indycars look awful from almost any angle.
I agree with Chief though, if Formula 1 started to adopt this, it would start to become LMP1.
This concept might be more suited to a KTM LMP1 project.

+1 looks pretty similar, understand the safety aspects that Indy is trying to promote but I hate those rear wheel bumpers. And the angled side pods, with the flat tray/floor in front of them
The previous gen Indy cars although not great looking still looked OK
