I also like TNCC, MSFG, FCCY when it comes to regional banks...FCCY was much more attractive at my buy price of $5.80, book value is $10.00 but their NPA's are super small they are the safest of the list and pay 5-6% dividend every year since 1992.

Just bought quite a bit of Citigroup, seems to me like they are headed in the right direction under new management.
How about, Dreamworks Animation (DWA) with all the 3-d movies they have coming out in the next few years. Too expensive for me though in the low 40's.

Been real happy with EMC (I'm in the ESPP and have a nice chunk of my 401K in it). I have two other IRAs and 2 Roths to keep me diversified.
Hit a 52 week high today

I never recommend entry points, the chart shows overbought, but it's so thinly traded chart doesnt mean much here.
I bought in this one at $2.17, its now $4.10...it's made a heck of a runup, when the market eventually starts to fall probably in summer months, along with foreclosure wave and option ARM reset this might fall back to earth a little. But when the banking system stabilizes I see $12 here

Watch Mad Money. My Tivo picks it up and I end up watching most episodes. A lot of people don't like Cramer but he is entertaining and does good analysis IMO. Ignore the hype of the Lightning Round and you will be okay. Also don't try to buy stuff he recommends on the day he recommends it.

What do you guys think about buying it at the price that it's at now.
Property of Zack's.com
"The stock is trading with a forward P/E of 14.8, a far cry from its boom years when it was consistently trading over 50 times its earnings.
Estimates have recently been mixed for fiscal 2010, with some rising and some falling. The full year Zacks Consensus Estimate, however, is up 2 cents to $2.00 per share in the last month. Analysts expect 17.8% earnings growth in 2010 and another 10.5% in 2011.
The company has an amazing 1-year return on equity (ROE) of 43.3%, far above the industry average of 9.9%. It also is one of the few technology stocks paying a dividend. MSFT currently yields 1.75%."

MSFT has traded around 30 for 10 years, I think there are better places to put your money. I took advantage of the big dip but got out around 29-30.

CL in lawnmower status
anyone still have their stocks?
looking to see what everyone else has, or is looking to buy
just trying to learn some more about all of this
but i currently have
MO (nyse) Altria - high dividend yield, modest growth
T (tmx) Telus - same as above, and as one of the major cellular providers in Canada, i don't see it dropping like crazy in the future
both were purchased more as a savings plan, since it's semi locked in, and the dividends are more percentage than the bank would pay me on my money anyways

I'm back into WDC, TBT, and UNG as new buys for my portfolio. These in addition to SGG, USO, and SLV should perform well this next year as they already have. I sold my earlier position in WDC some time ago and now think its a good buy at its current $27.70 price.
I'm getting more tempted to short AAPL at the current price of $291.25 too but that position could be a little scary with all the momentum on this darling stock- reminds me of JDSU, GLW, and QCOM of 10 years ago when those could do no wrong.
