Saw two TLs in EP today. A grandma was driving one of them. The second was at the EP post office. I parked right beside them. I think it was a blonde woman driving it. Couldn't tell. They left while I was in the post office.

Wow, today was TL day in EP. There were four TLs I saw. 1 ASM, 1 AM, 1 SSM, and 1 WDP. All of them were stock and older drivers (older than me).

For a sec there I saw auto place and though you saw my car. After work I dropped by checker (beside the carwash) and was checking to see if they had some rocker switches for a mod. They didn't have the correct type.

I also saw several 2g TLs today as well. One had the turn signal in back cleared.

Glad you asked this.... I am thinking of doing this. But how much does it cost? Like $95 for the key/fob/groved then programed then cut???? What is the total???

I've seen some people post that it was 100 for the cut and program. Each post varied on the cost as it depended on where they had it done.

I have dabbled with the idea of getting that fob, but I have the compustar remote on my key chain. I think adding the sbk fob would make it to bulky for me.

Well no solid answers yet. But i'm sure more will chime in once they see the thread.

95.00 (ebay, includes machined), so you just need to find a smith/acura cut / program all your keys... just wondering how much that'd be..

Questions...

Hey MN TL owners , I have few questions for you...

After getting through the first winter with the car I have noticed some rust on the lug nuts. Does anyone else have this problem? Is this unusual? I washed the car fairly often this winter.

I am starting to haggle with WBA about the 3rd gear MT issue. Has anyone else suffered with this problem? WBA claims to never have heard of this problem before. Can anyone share their experiences with a local MN dealer on this problem?

Other than that the car is great. I am starting to see a few more TL's on my commute on I94 in the morning. Anyone else driving in on 94?

Thanks-

^-- Actually I'm an AT, I'm just getting the MT aspec suspension for my car.

The Bloomington acura didn't really sell many MTs from what my friend that works there says. They didn't even have any for me to test drive. I had to head up to buerkle acura for that. My friend does have an 6MT. I'll have to ask him if he has ran into the 3rd gear problem.

Not on 94 myself. I'm in EP and I'm only on 212 for about 4 miles on the way to work.

2many,

on my MT, i've noticed the "3rd gear notch" since new, but i don't let it bother me. It comes and goes, i just make sure it's "in" gear before i let go of clutch. I will be changing the MT fluid to GM SyncroMesh-FM soon I hope this helps. Let me know if you are interested in doing that, I can get it for a good price locally! If anyone other MT's are interested on this let me know, limited to only AZer's of the Twincities area only, please.

2many, you might see me on 94 from time to time also, usually on fridays when i go home to River Falls. How many miles you have on yours 2many??

Thought that might be the case. I just purchased the MT suspension from Kennedy this morning. They'll ship to me by end of week!

Thanks for the comments guys

So far I have just over 8K. Man, do the miles pile up fast! I drive home around 5ish from 3M every day! Well, at least once I get back to work- I am staying home to help out with the new kid.

Right now, I am just trying to get the dealership to change the tranny fluid to their new stuff (per Jan2007 TSB) though I might already have it. The car was delivered early October- too close to tell if they put in the new and improved fluid or not. They have told me specifically that if I used the GM stuff the warranty is voided if problems arise at a later time. I will probably switch over to it after the warranty period is over.

I noticed that there were no comments about the rusty lugnuts? Is it only me?

Live in Maple Grove and have a Blue '04 MT w/33K miles.

Where can you get the rubber mats - dealer? Any place else for cheaper?

Cheers!

You can get the all season floor mats at the dealer for about $130. Dealer cost is $98.

Khunger,

Welcome! Glad to have another TL owner aboard. First of all, the MN members are having a meet in july. Please go to this thread "MN Meet" and be sure to post about the meet in that thread, not this one. The most recent meet details are in post #165.

There are some excellent vendors on here.

For the floor mats I recommend www.hondacuraworld.com, they have them for about $5 above cost. Tim is the internet parts manager and does a great job taking car of all of us acurazine people.

For performance parts, Excellerate and Mr. Heeltoe are great people to go to.

There are various other dealers that are on here as well.

Great and I just washed my car yesterday. Also the pictures the one guy posted of the hail damage to his car doesn't help the mental images of my car after a hail storm.

Yeah, you'll never see me at McD's.

lusid, I'm hoping to install the suspension this weekend. You going to be around? I'm also planning on helping 05TLRIDER with the Tails install.
