Talking Timing Belt Special - Baltimore Area

So I need my TB service. I called Hamilton Honda in NJ for their special, but it was discontinued at the end of last year.

However, I did find that Anderson Honda on York Rd in Cockeysville, MD has a special running now---$398 for TB, water pump and fluids. $90 for a new belt tensioner, if needed (I need). I will be taking the car in next week and will report back.

She goes in on Monday.
Honda does not provide loaner vehicles (or at least, THIS dealer doesn't) so make your own provisions. However, they DO have a Shuttle that will take you anywhere you need to go. They also work with Enterprise, if you want to rent at $35/day.

Great find Dave, my girls car need to have her tb done. I contemplated doing it my self to get hands on experience, but she declined. I should do it anyway and say the dealer did it.

The PA guys are getting together in Harrisburg next weekend. We need to put together something for the guys south of the Mason-Dixon. Hopefully, Spring will be early this year.

I'm doing well had to jump over a few high hurtles this past year but all is well. How you been? Tell Laurie I said hi.
We should plan a get together sometime soon. My car goes back to the shop soon, someone decided to put a chuck Norris dent on the door of the tl, then pulled of. I wish I would of seen who did it.

Just did mine this morning at Anderson Honda and I'm back in PA already. They turned everything around from 8am-12pm. When I made appointment, I only had a B4 code. Since then it became B24 so I added the spark plug replacement to the service order and they accommodated last minute. They got me back a little for $260 for plugs, but I figure wth, with the TB & tensioner savings I'm still ahead several bills vs. any dealer I would go to around here and my car seems very happy with the spa-day. Good price on the service and good folks in the Service Dept. (Turns out Crystal lived just down the road from me in PA.) Anyway, thank you guys for the heads up, and anyone on the fence or getting close, you'll be hard pressed to beat the deal.

Just had the timing belt, water pump and coolant, and the drive belts changed on my 2006 MDX (mileage, 89K) at Anderson Honda, too for $389. They found the tensioner leaking (I would have wanted it replaced anyway) and replaced it for an additional $90. The total was $497! Drove from Northern Virginia - boy, was it worth it!

An Acura dealership in northern Virginia wanted $1400 without the tensioner (they said it'll be $150 additional). I was also impressed by their (Anderson Honda) honesty. They said the front brake pads and rotors need replacement/resurfacing at the next oil change. The service folks at Acura dealership said they were so bad that I shouldn't drive home without changing them six months ago!

TB special still going at Anderson Honda. Made the trip for my 08TL-S on Thursday 9AM, and I was already on the road back to VA at 3PM. Total Bill with tax & labor: $548 with oil change and tire rotation.

Acura dealership in Woodbridge, VA quoted me at $1880 for the same work. Thanks Anderson Honda for the saving.

Had mine done a few months ago. I had the shuttle van drop me off at Pine Ridge Golf Course so I could play a round while the TL was being serviced. Thanks for the heads up, really nice dealership and Crystal was very nice to work with!

PS, I asked about doing the thermostat and was quoted $125 extra, she told me that they rarely have issues and recommended holding off. Don't find many honest service managers that aren't looking to make a buck...

Okay this may be a stupid question but im going to ask anyways. Is this the same as the 110,000 service (or whatever it is) that acura charges like 1600 for?

Confirmed the deal is still on. Took my newly purchased 2006 TL there this week. Replaced timing belt, water pump, drive belt, coolant, and timing belt tensioner for $497 out the door. Genuine Honda parts, warrantied for 1 yr/12k miles. No issues so far, recommended for sure.

I just replaced the timing belt, drive belt, tensioners and after test driving, found now the car has a slight vibration when accelerating. Smooths out at higher rpm. Any idea of the cause and solution? Will this diminish or stop all together after a break in period?

Thats not much detail of the symptoms. Could be anything from engine mounts to wheels/tires.

Deal still good. Got mine done today. $497 out the door. Some of their other services they offered were a bit too high for me such as spark plugs for $280. But they were Ok with me saying no.

I just called and this is what they said:

Timing Belt job - $489.95
Tensioner - $90

So it got more expensive by about $100...

Wow I found about this deal on Slickdeals. A guy posted this thread on there. I called around to see if dealers close to me could price match Anderson's price, everyone was shocked and said parts alone were $500. I talking with Crystal, she's supposed to call me because she was busy when I called. Hopefully I can get that price, my 01 CL type S currently has 134k. Question: What do you guys do there while waiting? I am in Northern VA and it's about an hour and half long drive. I will keep you people updated.

Did the service about 2 months ago. Good experience- the dealership is worldclass. They have free coffee/espressor/hd television/ very comfortable couches in a lounge with free wifi.

There are also a bunch of shopping centers/fast food joints within 10minute walking
