Hello, i heard you were the man to talk to about installing an aftermarket h/u to a TSX. i plan on doing ALOT of custom work to my stock unit and putting in a dual din touch screen where the old unit was seeing as i blew my stock amp and only my 4 front speakers work. so does that mean that i would have to purchase this wire harness that you make? if so i would like to know more about it (price, etc...), or any advice you can give would be much appreciated. you can contact me at rstrieter94@yahoo.com. hey mercman, i have seen your name floating around regarding a wire harness to tap into (or before?) the factory amp in TLs with ELS systems. I am interested in adding an aftermarket amp and would really like to know more and purchase a harness. please contact me at vmodi89@yahoo.com

i was wondering... if I use a standard rca Y-splitter (or a coupler) on the harness, would that convert the balance signal into unbalanced?

Just curious to know if we will get the infamous mercman harness 2.0 in 2010?

I have been thinking about installing a group of speakers that I had taken out of my old Acura 1992 Integra. I installed them in 2002 just a year before I sold it to buy my 04 TSX. The group consists of the following.

Polk Momo 6.5 components
Polk Momo 5.25 components
Polk Momo 6x9's
Polk Momo 10" sub

Now I used to run this stuff with an Alpine 5 channel amp and the factory amp. I used to have a Alpine head unit. My TSX has no modifications done to it. I want to utilize the factory HU.

I was reading your thread regarding using amps with Balanced inputs. If this is the case what amp or amps would you recommend I use. Also what other equipment would I need to get this done. I am pretty handy and installed all of the gear in my Integra myself so installation isn't an issue. I just need to know what is recommended to buy. I see that must also buy some sort of special cable from you to make all of this happen.

Any guidence you could lend would be greatly appreciated.
