Mines was eaten becuase i forgot to put the power steering resevoir back onto its bracket. That generally would cause it. Unles ALL your motor mount is torn, then that might caused it. VERY UNLIKELY though. It was probalby not sitting on the bracket securely.

at the time that u discovered the power steering tank is eaten by the alternator pulley, were ur car lowered/ or the motor mount was worn?

my pwr steering tank is also dameged on the side, i am trying to figure out is it because the motor wasn't secure when turning right onto an incline
