    Your tires are fine. 225/40/18 work for most people. What the problem is, if you're rubbing in your situation, is rim offset. What size rims do you have? I see you have 18" rims, but you also need to look at rim width as well as offset.

    Hope that explains everything.

    If you still occasionally 'rub', I bet it's on the driver's rear side. You'll have to do something called 'trimming tabs'. Do a search and see what you need to trim. If that doesn't help, you'll have to do something else called 'rolling fenders' ... search that if you are not sure what that means.

    hey man noticed you seem to know a lot rim and tire size
    i have a 2000 tl on eibach lowering springs and kyb shocks....... i have 224/40/18 with a 45 offset and they rub occasionaly

    do you know what would fit in an 18 withought rubbing or should i just roll the fensers
