Hi, I went to radioshack and they only have the 330 ohm 1/4 watt, tolerance 5%, so I did a test leds and resistor and it work just fine. Thanks a lot for helping me out.

Thank you. I'll go with 300 ohm 1/4 watt.

I would go with a higher supplied voltage for the calculations. Typically the TL will generate about 14.5 volts when running. Desired current for LEDs are typically 20mA not 30. Redo your calculations and go with that, but with the resistor add about 50 more ohms with what they tell you to cover the tolerance level of 5%-10%.

Thanks for your info. I'm doing retrofit projector so at the same time I want to put 6 Leds around the len, it sound abit crazy but I'm not so sure about outcome yet. Especially, I'm aware of the heat from HID light.I've check this site http://www.theledlight.com/ledcircuits.html and I better to go in series with the 3 leds. I did more research myself and tried a couple of calculating from didfrient site that gave me more understanding. Here's my input to calculation are
    Supply Voltage ...13.4
    Voltage Drop Across LED .....3.3
    Desired LED Current .....30MA
    How many leds connected ...3
And resistor is 120 ohm, 1/4 watt color code brown red brown
What do you think am I doing correct? Sorry for many question. Thanks.

Hi Ontario, please give me advise.
I bought some led lights ( RL5-W15120 - White LED ) for my headlight mod from http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/W15120_specs.htm

and also bought the resistors from radio shack, which's 470 omn, 1/2 watt, (Model # 271-1115).

    http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...20&tab=summary .

Is it allright to use with RL5-W15120 or not? I'm installing 6 leds for one set
of light, so do I need 6 resistors for each led or one resistor
    > is able to resist to 6 leds? Please share your konwledge to my
    > dumb question. Thank you.
