Hey atrac, I'm trying to reply to your message but it says your box is full?
Here's my response:
Hey atrac,
Not a bother; don't worry about it. The only symptom I was really having was an intermittent issue where I would start the car, and the screen wouldn't light up whatsoever. It honestly only happened a couple times, but while I was still under warranty I had it addressed.
It turned out, the unit in the trunk was causing the issue and was "eating" the disc, causing some faults with the screen not turning on. Whenever that happened, the buttons or anything wouldn't work to get the screen light up. I'd have to shut off the car and turn it back on, then it'd be fine.
The dealer sent the unit out, and I was without it for about 3 weeks. It was painful because you lose all access to your screen at that time, even for radio. You can still hear radio of course, but can't see anything on the screen.
I didn't have any issues with the clock area. I did have an issue when the nav unit was out, that my clock reset and I couldn't fix it until the unit was put back in. Good luck!!
