3pc Custom Built 18x8.5/9.5 Koenig Specials ONE OF A KIND

Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G, Other Honda/Acura, Type-S Model
Location (State/Prov/Terr): TX
Item Condition: Used

Up for sale is my custom built 3-piece Koenig Special wheels. These wheels are 5x114.3 staggered 18x8.5 +45 and 18x9.5 +45 and come equipped with 235/40-18 and 265/35-18 Yokohama Advan A/S Sport with plenty of life left. Wheels have chrome 90-deg valve stems with adapters for OEM TPMS (also equipped). I've got a folder of receipts for parts from the build that will come with the wheels.

$1750 local pickup

The history of these wheels combined with my modern refinish have made these truly one of a kind. If you like having things on your car that set you apart from the crowd, these wheels will do just that. I've seen 2 or 3 other guys running Koenig-Specials on their TL, but none with this combination of lip, size, and finish.

My story for the purchase and build of these wheels can be found in the links below...

Wheels required at least a 7mm to 10mm to clear the Brembos on my Type S, but they may clear the Basea 3G TL brakes with no issues. Not sure about other generations. I ran 15mm bolt spacers to take advantage of having bolted on spacers and adjusting for more of a flush look. With the car lowered down to remove all wheel gap on ICS coils, I only rubbed at full lock on the passenger side when going up steep inclines. Fenders were rolled front and back and the tabs on the front fenders were trimmed.

I'm selling because the Type has been replaced by a 2015 BMW 335i M-sport and I need to fund a similar wheel build on that car. If I had a way to make these fit on that car I'd do it in a heartbeart, but it's proving to be very difficult. I've considered keeping these just for nostalgia, but I'd rather see them get used instead of just sitting on a rack in my garage.

Because I'm including the tires and TPMS as a package with the wheels, I'm fairly set on the price and not interested in parting them set out. Local pickup is preferred in Beaumont, TX, but I'm willing to drive a couple hours to meet half way or deliver if the price is right.

Thanks for the reminder. The post above actually only includes photos of one wheel up close, but somehow Flickr is double-posting my pics. Sorry about that.

Below is a pic from today that shows all four wheels, and the link below will send you to my Flickr album that shows closeups of any minor nicks on the lips.

I did my best to capture every little nick on the lips of these wheels. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I tried to shoot all I could find. Honeslty, waxing the lips would probably take care of most of this. Whatever is let could be touched up with a Sharpie or better yet some good old gloss black touch-up paint.
