2013 ILX Suspension Torque Specs
New to the site but an avid reader on all things ILX in the threads. I haven't been able to come across some torque specs for my 2013 ILX. I just swapped out the stock springs to H&R and have some clanking sound on the front end. The only thing I can think of is that we didn't tighten them down enough. If you have any suggestions on how to correct this issue or a place to find the service specs for the vehicle that would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

Not sure on torque specs.
When do you hear the clanking and who did the install?

I hear the clanking when I hit a bump. I've researched other forums about this issue and i've come to the conclusion that its due to the strut nut not being torqued to the proper ratio...
My buddy who works at a lift shop for trucks. He had the tools to compress the springs and do the swap, figured it'd be an easy go. (well...tbh it was, just didnt notice the issue until I approached my house and hit a small bump.) Will be back at his place tomorrow to do the maintenance just didnt know if we sat at 22lbf-ft or something like 41lbf-ft

If anyone is looking for a service manual for body repairs on our car I came across this ~~~> http://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/p...4/X61414BR.pdf
If by chance, anyone finds a service manual for suspension that looks similar to this, toss it my way if you please :-)

Could be that coils are binding. Look for signs (scuffs, chipped paint, etc) where part of the spring coil could be coming into contact with another part of the coil. You can try this DIY fix: Fix any spring binding with my quick fix DIY!
Place the tubing around the coils that are close to each other to prevent noise when they come in contact.
Also, did your installer remember to put back the spring isolators when he removed the stock springs?

Sorry for the late response, Sunday was a wash so I couldn't do it then so yesterday I ran it back to my friends house and we torqued the strut nuts. However, it wasn't the strut nuts to begin with (they were tightened pretty well even before the torque wrench was used). After we took the car off the jack and I pushed down on the front end a few times it was still making the same clunking sound. He looked in the wheel well, looked up at me, smiled and said you're going to hate me...he forgot to tighten the sway bar link. So we popped the wheel off, tightened that nut and voila!
Thank you all for your quick responses! And thanks AZuser for the info and visual! Something to keep in mind if I hear anything after the car settles a bit :-)
