Love that front end, would copy it if didn't have fogs already. I also would have gotten the hybrid spoiler if I didn't get the regular one, just for the chrome/ machine trim as well.
Not sure what you guys are saying was blacked out....

You have to call them to place your order. It's not listed on their website yet. I think the quality of these visors are a lot better than the AVS ventvisors I had on my Lexus IS before.

For some reason the visor thread you posted in wont load. Keeps failing to load over and over. Odd.
Anyways. I just got it to load using my Explorer browser and saw they are HIC. HIC is a great company. Thats who I bought my Integra visors from. I'll be picking these up when I can. How much did they run you?

Not bad at all. I might have to pick me up a set.
#56
Aw... was hoping they would run cheaper. Im happy they're finally here tho.

80 seems right.
I paid 40 for my couple visors back in the day and those didn't have any chrome trim.
Twice as many pieces. Plus chrome trim. Twice as expensive... Works for me.

Yea I was just hoping for you guys, I get a free pair for being the test fit car. I'll post pics in the window visor thread. I'm getting a full car detail on Thursday. Was supposed to pick up visors tomorrow, but I think I'm probably just gonna stop by and talk with him for a minute. I kinda did over the phone, but we'll settle stuff up tomorrow.
He needs pics of the visors on the actual car. So if Deonel518 wants to send in pics to HIC, they'll probably use those pics on the site. I think your car may be better then mine for this purpose because mine is more modded, so you can see the visors better.
During the full detail, I'm going to be removing the chrome door edge lining, the chrome gas door cover and the main door pillars. It's all damaged, looks terrible. I'm gonna leave the nice big chrome piece along the bottom, the little mini door pillars that separate the back windows, and I'll be replacing the big door pillars with gloss black 3M wrap. The door edge liner will be replaced with clear door edge liner/ protector. Same stuff as OEM, 3M brand, but I'll haggle so its same or cheaper most likely. The shop doing the wrap/edge protector is next door (so's my mechanic). Was also thinking of wrapping the visors, but now that I see the design, I won't. It's very opaque/dark, looks great as is.
Would have loved to go back to the real metal big chrome door pillars, however it will not fit correctly under these visors, and with the gap between the visors, would probably really look like shit if i cut them to try and fit them, bummer. The chrome wrap looks bad, I was told its because the sun makes it crack, much shorter life then regular wrap because it has a bit of metal in it. I dunno, that's what I was told.

Actually Deonel518 - are you having any issues with the door liner you have? It looks nice to me, plus functional.
My chrome ones never truely adhered properly, and they were never really that flexible/formfitting to the curves of the ILX, especially the rear doors. The rear they would melt off with this California sun. I'm asking for others, because since I've been burned by this now, I don't feel like risking it. I'll just play it safe and get the clear stuff.
I suspect the chrome finish edge liner is especially bad/not flexible, considering what I was told about the chrome wrap stuff.

aomechmarine, I haven't had a problem yet with my chrome door trim. It's just starting to warm up here in Chicago so I'll just have to see how it holds up in the summer time. But it does seem like it's stuck on there pretty well. Did you use adhesive promoter when you installed yours?

Here's another look at the grill uninstalled. I used a honeycomb plastic grill from ebay. It was not cheap though. It cost around $40. You can use home depot gutter guards but that would look ghetto. I think most people that do this mod just leave it open and do not install a grill insert.

I got it from eBay. You can also get the OEM chrome trim from Acura but it cost twice as much.

I know this is quite a bit late.... But were you ever able to get that exhaust tip to work on your 2.4 Litre Engine. I believe this guy has the lower model with a smaller pipe hence was able to make it work. I would like to try one as well but I have the 2.4 litre engine as well. I don't want to but the Honda finisher that cost $50 - 70 USD.
Please advise
Thanks

I actually went from a 2015 ILX to a 2014 RDX (30,000 miles). I liked my ILX. I got low to mid 30s mpg. It handled very well in dry weather. However, it was horrible in wet/snow weather conditions. Also, it definitely was not as quick as the RDX. My ILX had the smaller 2.0 liter engine. It probably would have been much quicker if it had the 2.4 liter. My RDX is much quicker, more quiet, and a very comfortable ride. It handles much better in weather conditions. I'm glad I made the change to the RDX from the ILX. In addition, I have kids so it is nice to have more overall room in the RDX.

Exhaust
Hey quick question,
Really digging your ILX here, its a beauty. Quick question for you though, I also recently just got myself a 2013 ILX and am looking to add/change the exhaust by maybe adding a tip.
How did you go about adding it on yours and which one do you have on? Thanks man
