Well there's a few reasons I don't want to go wider then 19x9 eventually...

1) I don't want to go lower. I'm dropped about 1.5 all around on Swift Springs, pretty good ride quality. But I've also seen under the car. It still scrapes and speed bumps are still very annoying. I lost a puddle light on the left side, gotta replace it. To fit wider then a 9 wide wheel, I'd have to drop more. Even If I get coil-overs later on, I just want to have no wheel gap, that's it. If I get 19's and some fat sporty tires, it should actually ride slightly higher then now, or about the same, with no wheel gap.

2) I don't want to roll fenders to fit wider wheels. Would rather simply not deal with that if I don't have to. I test fitted some Wed's Bazereia's that were 19x9 and offset of 30? or 28 or 29 or so, and it had a nice 2, maybe 2.5 inch lip. It fit great. Looked like I had the wheels made for the car. Deal went south super quick cuz of some BS tho.

3) "performance" wise 9 inch wheel width seems to be standard for Civic 8th gen and 9th gen. I bought this car as an "upscale" version of a Civic Si... So I dunno...Maybe I am a ricer, haha... But to get even more "performance", you are supposed to even reverse stagger the wheels, since this car is front wheel drive.

Feel's is a legit Honda tuner, on par with Mugen and Spoon. They have a race team, and make "functional" aero kits.

"The wheels outfitted on this car are AME Tracer TM-02’s in 18″x9″ +35 in the front and 18″x8.5″ +45 in the rear. Rubber consists (big surprise) of Advan A048 M compound tires. The wider front wheels provide more front grip in the corners and give the car a mean, all business look. I love how the front wheels have the GT-R-like concave face. AME was also at the track to get input about the wheel performance from the Feel’s team. Also contributing to the car’s aggressive look are the Feel’s six-piece overfender kit that effectively accommodates the wider wheels and tires."

How functional are the visor triangle, the skirt extension piece, and the overfenders? Lets be honest.. Probably not much... haha but I still think it looks good. It's actually from their "street version" aero kits... So YES, it is Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements, but I don't think that's so terrible...

This is the "full race" version of Feel's 8th gen body kits.

Clearly lowered, but still has clearance and daily practical ride height, wheel gap more or less gone, and just plain looks good to me. I would want the wheels closer to the fender, But he has the actual wide fender kit, so based on the Bazeria test fitment, I know I'll get the look I want. More or less my goal.

God damn it Jeremy. Stop feeding the thread jackers!

AOmech, maybe Jorge doesn't care, but I'd be like WTFBBQ if you were posting all these pics of civics in my thread.

Maybe mention the fender piece then make a new thread with all this information. Some people may find it very usefully but they wont see it here. As well, if it is info Jorge doesnt care use then it all can be a lot of wasted space in his thread.

Just sayin. Information is great but no one is going to find it here and it may even be bugging jorge filling up his "build" thread with all this thread jacking. Maybe he doesnt care. Like I said Id be WTFBBQing over here about it.

Eh... I'm not trying to be a dick about it... but to be honest, I kinda don't care about thread jacking on the ILX forum, as most of the forum is full of inactive 3-4 post threads that die off pretty quickly. If anything, this is simply gonna get more views to someone's thread when people see "new posts" when they come to the ILX forum...

No one who wants that info will know to look here. People wanting more pics of Jorge's car will see random civics.

I see no way this is a positive thing.

I get the inkling that as long as it's not cluttering up his likes on IG, he wouldn't care.

You youngsters...

One thing I will say that is a universal truth on any thread...
The FIRST thing you do before mentioning wider wheels, horrible over fenders, and lowering a car...is get your fenders professionally rolled.

I can't believe I actually read all that above me lol
No i dont care if you thread jack haha

Anyways back to my thread, I might be getting rid of my Work Wheels again and maybe getting into 19x9.5 +17 Infinite Werks wheels.. We'll see how the deal goes on Friday. Its suppose to be a straight trade and my wheels have new tires and his wheels two of them need to be changed out but thats not a big issue with me.

Hey ! its been awhile, well actually over a year haha. If you don't follow me on instagram then Ill just post it here. I traded in my ILX for a truck. Here a few pics of the ilx after the last few months of me driving it

I had tinted my whole car 15% and front window was 35%
I ended up bagging it on airlift 3p
added the front and rear a spec kit
Added the rv6 downpipe and aem intake
Had my work wheels powder coated to white faces and red hardware and high polished lips
Then i acquired some volk te37s in mag blue. loved those wheels since they were super light weight

Here are two pics of the setup I had. You can check my instagram out for more pics
I won't be posting anymore after today on this thread since I don't own an ilx anymore
Feel free to contact me on instagram or facebook if you havent already joined the ilx group page on FB i am an admin on there and im very active

Few months later I ended up selling both wheels and then thats when I started my partout to stock
I got rid of my ilx on 10/6/17
owned it for a little over 2 years

The car looked so good on the TE, wow.
What kind of truck did you end up buying?
Well, I guess since you're never going to visit again I might as well ask you some other outlandish stuff.
What's your favorite color?
Where did you lose your virginity?
To a boy or girl?

Anyway, safe travels on the IG and FB pages for cars...I stay away from those like the plague!
