shmobby...Congrats!! She looks great...The g/f has a white one except she has the auto but I so wish she would have gotten the stick. Despite the lower hp advertized, I am surprised how zippy the 2.0L actually is. I am not claiming it is as fun as the 2.4L with the sweet 6 speed but it is still better than the numbers would suggest.

No accessories planned? I think the body kit looks so great on the ILX!

Keep posting. And I hope that mod bug catches you soon.

If you plan on getting a supercharger later on, get the PRL one because i guess you can use it with or without.

If not, go for Injen cold air intake, or AEM cold air intake. Maybe the DC Sports one. All 3 are almost the same. Injen and AEM did more R&D for test fitments and such tho. Injen kit comes with battery relocate. Not positive if the AEM does.

I'd rather get a short ram than cold air. too much work and I eventually need to be able to go back to stock, as I am just leasing this thing.

yep, I am in redwood city!

They are not like a "race" cold air intakes. I drove in the rain just fine, And both AEM and Injen make water filters that go over the air filters if you're paranoid. The Injen one is even going to be carb legal in California eventually. They are easily switched back to stock as well.

Short ram intakes like K&N have given bad results to other forum members.

Just purchase a TLX (black on black) yesterday. The dealer is adding the Aero package and I won't take delivery for a day or two. The white looks fantastic.

I also had the aero package added to my tlx before taking delivery! The black with aero kit is the best looking in my opinion, the kit "blends" with the car and you can't see the lines where they join.

Yep thats my one gripe about the ILX. I don't fit in it very well, but hey, it's just my commuter.

Awesome set up so far! That's exactly what I want to do with my car.

H&R Springs, Air Intake, and wheel spacers.

Unfortunately, no one makes lowering springs for the 2016, No one makes any intakes for the 2016. And no one can give me a straight answer on what Bore Size wheel spacers I need for my 2016.

I've been driving around stock going crazy!

I'm in South San Francisco by the way. I've been meaning to hit up HWY 84 in RWC/Woodside and cruise through the twisties one weekend.

Let me know if you're ever down to do a quick local drive. I'd love to check out the stance with OEM wheels, spacers and H&R springs.

Go to a local tire shop and tell them to measure your bore size.

2016 just came out. Dont expect an intake for a while.

Also intake wouldnt do much of anything. Maybe worth while for the bling factor. But aside from just saying its there it wont do much of anything for your car.

I've tried local Wheel/Tire shops. They all claim they do not have a Micrometer to measure the bore and I need to find out from Acura or ask on the forums.

Yea, good luck with that.

As for the intake, I'm not worried about adding power. I just wanna hear that Damn, VTEC kick! lol

I'm still having Integra GSR withdrawals, ya know?

Thanks iRaw. I'm actually the service manager at Hopkins Acura in Redwood City. Next time we have a 16 ILX up on the rack, I'll have one of the guys mic the hub bore, although I am 90% sure it's the same as the 2015. Other than head lights, tail lights, and bumpers (and some interior stuff), the 2016 seems to be about the same as the 2.4L from 2015.

Congrats on your ride! I love the a-spec. If I can help with anything, send me a direct message.

So I just checked with one of the guys and it looks like the lug pattern and hub bore did not change from 2015 to 2016. Also, my wheel spacers came off of an ollllld RL, and most of the sedans have the same bolt pattern and hub bore. Hope that helps!

Wow, that helps a lot! Thank you so much. I believe most Acura Bore sizes are 64.1" if I'm not mistaken. I guess I will be looking for that.

Glad to know your at Hopkins. I bought mine at Mike Harvey. I've been talking with the Service manager there about my squeaking brakes.

Apparently there is a TSB for 2016 brakes noise. Unfortunately, it's become such a big issue, that the revised Rotors and Pads for the 2016 are on national back order. I've been driving around for about 3 weeks with squeaking brakes.

The service manager at Mike Harvey says he will call me as soon as the parts are available to schedule my warranty work for Rotors and Pad replacement.

Have you had any 2016 ILX customers come in with squeaking brake issues?

Not too many actually, but mine squeak too. There isn't a bulletin out that I know of, but when it does come out, it will be for all ILX years and newish RDXs. These are always fun because all of the sudden "everyone's brakes start squeaking..."

I just took woodside and skyline tonight on the new setup. Feels pretty planted, although on some of the undulations on skyline I think I almost bottomed out. Pretty fun to get a little aggressive.

OK, so I just found out about that other bulletin that you mentioned for the early 2016 ILXs. Parts just came off of backorder status, so you might want to call up mike harvey and schedule your appointment. the 2015 and older have a different fix coming out.

My appointment is for this Friday.

I'm picking up a loaner car. I'm actually hoping they don't get it done in time so I can drive something different over the weekend. lol

We'll see how it goes.

Drive in to work this morning was fun. Definitely a louder noise when throttle is open. I thought this would stave off my Mustang desires, but I might need more stuff.
