recommend a good pressure washer
I believe that our 7-10 year old craftsman took a dump and is seized. It was pretty loud the last 10 hours or so and always had oil in it. You can no longer pull the cord and it doesn't seem like there is a way to move the cylinder to check it.
Doing a search on the net for best rated 2016 pressure washers pulls up a few with honda 190 motors. Is there a good brand of one that you'd recommend? Better gas consumption and something quieter would be nice too. Some of the good rated ones are around $400.
We want something that will last.

I picked this one up last summer and have been used it to wash the cars as well as clean the driveway with no problem. It seems to have enough power to do all that. A gas one you might be able to go faster with but I don't use it enough to justify the price of them.
Shop Greenworks 2,000-PSI 1.2-GPM Cold Water Electric Pressure Washer at Lowes.com
Probably have used it 20-30 times at this point so far without any issues from it.

*sigh* ghetto-subbed as well. I don't want to buy one but have been considering it. OCD neighbor blasted his sidewalks and makes mine look even shittier. Not to keen on some huge behemoth I need to store and feed but want to be able to blast the hell out of the mildew on the concrete.

I just got this one on amazon
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
it's ok... depends on what you're trying to do. I wish it had about a thousand more PSI on the sprayer. That might be better. I've pretty much always got the narrowest nozzle in trying to get as much pressure as possible. For light duty, it's not bad though.

I own a 3600 psi gas one. Forgot the brand, but can check. This thing is a total beast, and it will rip straight through paint if your car is known to have bad paint. Literally ripped off a 3x4" piece of paint on our old 2007 santa fe bumper....but those cars had bad paint during that first year on many. It has been fine on our 09 santa fe and my old 07 Rdx, as well as a few touaregs and x5's.
The electric ones tend to be MUCH quieter than the gas powered ones but I have not been able to find an electric one with greater than 2100-2600 psi (been a while since I looked for one so I forgot what the psi cap was at the time). Also the electric ones tended to be made of plastic while the gas ones have some sort of high grade aluminum/alloy material. The other bonus is that electric ones don't need to be cord pulled to start.
If you can find something with around 3000 psi, go for it, don't bother with 2500 and under.

i've got a Homelite with Honda motor... (2700 psi) if i am not mistaken... it has been solid for the last 5 years... i only had one issue with it (my own fault)... i was transporting it and forgot to cut the fuel to the carb so it flooded... had a hard time starting it up, but once i did it worked flawlessly again...
the 0* nozzle will strip paint... it's dangerous and i have taken a chunk of skin off my shin...

These 3 seem to get good reviews from the net.
Kam, i had looked for homelite pressure washers, but can't seem to find any.

Anything with a Honda engine. Seriously. It'll out live you and your children.
Personally, I think 2700psi is a bit low.

I LOVE my Generac. However, it's too powerful for what I need it for weekend to weekend. Honestly I kind of want one of the ~2k PSI small electric ones so I can use a foam cannon without having to startup the loud gas unit.

They sure do. They look like pretty good units too. Considered one myself.

2700 PSI Gas Pressure Washer (UT80522B) ? Homelite
but Taco's comment is correct... anything with a Honda engine (same thing with lawn mowers) will last you a long time... i didn't care it was a homelite, just that it had a Honda motor....
i've stripped my deck at my old house with it, i've cleaned the vinyl siding on both houses, and also cleaned the paver joints to resand... my boss even used it to strip his garage floor before he re-epoxy it... it's paid for itself...

I have a Ryobi gas pressure washer with a Honda motor. Works awesome, has a rating of 3100 psi I think. The handle folds down and makes it pretty compact. Got it at HD for $200 at the end of the year, pretty sure it's a $400 machine.
Anything with a Honda motor is where you want to be. I'm pretty sure they all roll off the same line with different plastic and stickers but are otherwise exactly the same.

a pressure washer is only as good as the tools! Be sure to rent or buy a rotating surface cleaner for sidewalks! Did the whole driveway and sidewalk in under an hour

Does anyone have this or something like it? What do you think?
