Looking forward to the pics when furnished/decorated. You and the kids are going to love making great memories here.

Thanks man. Yeah first thing we need are beds. Kids want bunk beds.
Replacing the rear slider in a couple weeks. Got some wood rot under the sill. Genius who built the deck sloped it towards the house. Gotta jack up the front, support it, then cut about 1 1/2" off each post.

Yeah hope to get up there in a few weeks. Between soccer, work, main home projects it's gonna be a challenge.

There is spacing between the wood decking so not all the water ran up against the house but it definitely ate away at the rim joist.

Update
Finally had time to furnish the house.

Kids got bunk beds.
We had this kitchen table made. It's base is a tree stump. It's amazing in person. The chairs weigh 50lbs each and the table took 3 guys to bring in.

Got new living room furniture too.
Leather and an amazingly soft microfiber.
Next up patio furniture and a new grill.
And a sealed gas fireplace insert is being installed.

Looks really good but are the kitchen chairs going to destroy the floor?

Nice Vacation house! Dricore is a must in any basement, so much more comfortable and great if there are ever any (small) water issues.. In ours we used a product called Platon that comes in rolls with a thick clickable engineered flooring on top,

That looks great. It's always scary getting balls deep in work like that.
