Propeller shaft / Torque convertor

Greetings,

Ive had the propeller shaft replacement done due to the whining noise . Ive had my torque convertor replaced due to shuddering noise.

Im experiencing the same issues afterwards with the new parts.

Does anyone know if Acura has truly fixed these mechanical problem in the 4g.

Please share your experiences.

What year is your TL, how long did the new part lasted before you noticed the same issues? My TC is also going out and I'm not sure if the new part will fix the issue (judder/shudder/vibration).

2011 year

i recall the work was done around 45k miles. im at 52k now. However the same symptoms exhibited themselves again not long after the repairs. the prop shaft maybe within a week. the tourque convertor not long after. it just becomes more pronkunced over time.

Other than this, this vehicle has been absolutley reliable and a joy to drive. I am considering the longer term especially with this issue.

I was in the back seat of my 2013 FWD and heard a whining type of noise, could this be the propellor shaft?

I heard the prop shaft is just a replacement with the same part. As for the TC, there is a software update but I'm not sure if it applies to your year. My 2012 got the update.

Only the AWD has a propeller shaft.
