Does anyone have these guys with the yellow Lamin-X film on them?

I've got one shattered fog and am kicking around buying these but I love my ricer yellow.

Yeah, I love the Noyka Yellow Bulbs I've got now, I'm afraid the Lamin-X will look good while turned off but completely mess up the look when powered on. Like they won't be yellow but will have more of a halogen look to them.

They have these examples with the Lamin-X

I would think that having the yellow bulbs with the yellow lamin-x would look killer. That's what I'm planning on doing with mine...

I'm planning this mod and hoping for a Black Friday sale. Do I need to remove the bumper to access the fog light?

Thank you.

It makes it easier, but no, I was able to install without removing the bumper. I used these instructions

Time to work on return since there still in box.

Update:
thanks for posting this. I just completed order. After using code TRSGIVING15 it takes 15% off (when you spend $150) bringing price down to $144.50. Also you can get TWO sets of 2 small LED's for free(3156 and T10). Just add them to cart

Got it, thanks guys.

Any recommendation on which to select (3156 and T10)?

I just ordered the XB LED Fogs. Note that the site does not prompt you for the 3156/T10 special. I went with the T10 option to do the license plate light (i hope).

Anyway, thanks again.

Make sure you guy's are comparing various Black Friday prices on these. TRS and V-LED's will both have big sales, along with other online retailers.

I just ordered a pair of fogs from TRS as well. FYI, you can add both 3156 and T10 LEDS to your cart for free. I tried this and went through.

I got an email from VLEDs regarding their cyber monday sale. It's 15% off everything, 20% off $150 or more, and 25% off $300 or more.

The 25% off is a great deal. They had the same deal last year when I got the Morimoto fogs and Triton V3 switchbacks.

Great idea to add both to the cart. I wish I thought of it.

My project plan is DIY without bumper removal.

The bumper is pretty easy to remove...a lot easier than pulling out the fog light housings with it still on.

Can you recommend a good link for bumper removal instructions (no luck with a forum search)? Do I need special tools?

Seriously? I'd disagree. Foglights are pulled out with just a stubby phillips head screwdriver like 2 clips and 4 bolts on the fender liner underneath. Takes 10 seconds to get in and out with no risk of damaging paint or the bumper clips.

Maybe so.

I guess when I did mine I also installed the V3 Triton switchbacks which are a lot easier to install properly and adjust with the housings out of the bumper. I've pulled the bumper off a couple times so it seems pretty easy to me.

Yeah, after you've done it a few times it's pretty straight forward. I think I can rip my S2000's bumper off in like 2 minutes.

I think in the Owner's Manual it has you going up underneath, I just use Rhino Ramps and get both sides up and then remove the air deflector (3 bolts) the front lining bolt (1 bolt) and the 1 plastic clip. Then you can pull back/down/out on the lining and expose the fog.

You definitely don't have tons of space, but if you're just doing a bulb replacement you're good.

Well, just bought the XB fogs with the Lamin-X addon with the two pairs of free LED bulbs! Should be a good upgrade.

Taking advantage of the VLED's cyber Monday Sale. 15% off everything, 20% off orders of $150 and 25% on orders $300+. Only doing 15% on V3 Tritons but I'm ordering them anyway. Controllers are on back order though. I'm ordering a lot though for the TL and the wife's 16 RDX though we have already started on both.

I already like the look and can't wait to test these out!

Stock on the left, Morimoto on the right.

For those with the Morimoto fog lights, does it really make a difference in visibility?

I don't even notice a difference with my stock halogen fog lights when I turn them on and off. Didn't make a difference with HID fogs I had in my previous car as well. Fog lights, to me, were always more of a cosmetic mod than functionality.

Curious to see how functional these are.

This is an image of a TL with just the morimoto foglights on to show brightness and cutoff, I think the image speaks for itself.

Very nice. Is there a pic with both headlights and fog lights on?

Think this will be my next mod instead of HID's...

Do these match the stock HID's?

Jerry's pics have the Osram 5500k's and they look even. Wondering if the OEM HID's will not match as well...

They're close, they're not perfect. The fogs are definitely more 'white' in my eyes. I don't think you're going to get a better match though.

I haven't installed my LaminX yet but plan on it.

So, the Osram's will match the Morimoto's better, yes?

I'm thinking so from looking at his pictures. Admittedly though, I don't know what mine would look like photographed dead on from the front. I actually checked again tonight and from walking up to the car from the side the headlight is a touch more blue.

5500K may be better
