TSX knocks my socks off

I bought a green light 2005 TSX auto with 128,500 miles at auction for $6800, and $7500 out the door, back in January. This car is amazing!! previously I was driving a hand-me down 1993 corolla 1.6L auto, and coming from that to this absolutely knocks my socks off. I couldn't be more happy with purchase. It's so much faster and easier to merge into traffic. Everything in the car is so comfy, and the sound system is off the hook. The suspension is so good too, I can barely feel anything on the road unlike my corolla!

The previous two owners took excellent car of it. The transmission fluid was clean, the interior was among the best of any car at the auction. There was a log of all the services too. The car came from a rural area so there's probably not as much wear and tear on the car as the miles suggest. When I took the car to my mechanic to inspect, he said I had the best vehicle of the auction, and couldn't believe the dealer wasn't keeping it to sell.

There were minor issues with the car, but no deal breakers. very slight leak right inner axle boot. The two rear wheels had bead corrosion and were leaking air like crazy. The milano red paint is fading badly. Animal fur in the car. headlight were oxidized. no AUX

Unfortunately, I hit a pothole and popped a tire the second week I had the car
My friend loaned me a set of 8th gen accord steel rims to use in the mean time (With 205/60/16 92 V Pirelli P7), my car's not entirely stock. Those steels weigh about 21 lbs so they were a few pounds lighter then the oem 24 lbs alloys surprisingly

right now, I'm measuring the city mpg of the car after a ecu reset. Prior to ecu reset, the mpg were terrible in city and highway. Most of the roads here, esp the highways are pothole ridden, I've been driving it only in the city for now (neighborhood/semi-suburb city, not downtown city). i only drive the car maybe 3 times a month for 10-25 miles at a time, it's taking a very long time to do the measurement. I got 81.6 miles so far, and by eyeing the fuel gauge, it appears 20% down from full so 81.6/3.42 = 23.3 mpg for 100% city driving.
I topped it off 3 weeks ago, and I think it was still the winter blend so i do expect better mpg next time I top off with summer blend gas.

I wish I could drive it much more, but I commute on public transportation. I'm eagerly awaiting summer to take some road trips in the TSX

Glad you are enjoying your TSX! I bought my 2004 TSX in 2003 and I still have it. Other than some first model year type issues it has been reliable. The only issues I have now are the door lock actuators don't work on the passenger front and rear doors which is is a common issue.

The OP was made almost 5 months ago. I wonder if he still loves his car.

I'm not sure this was a good price, I'm guessing it has NAV
