I'm having the same issue

I am having the same problem and it's very random. I just purchased my 05 TSX and is currently have the APPS changed on it but no one can seem to tell me what the darn rattling noise is! I hope I don't regret this purchase.

Mine only does it when it's idle I put 40k miles on it since I bought I'm pretty sure it's not the engine or tranny I can put it in neutral the front end shakes so it has to be a motor mount these cars have 7

Later models (09-10, and later) have a problem with the VTC Actuator rattling on startup. Numerous examples of sound on youtube. I wondered why 04-08 TSX's seemed immune to the problem. Perhaps not? here's a sample.

good luck

Nope, mines only make the noise when idling at a light but depending on the amount if pressure I place on the brakes the rattling stops. It doesn't interfere with the overall performance of the car so I guess I'm okay with it. If the radio is loud enough I don't hear it. But it would be nice if Honda could shed some light on what's causing it. This is my 1st Acura and may be my last if this is considered norm for all models

Get under the car from either front door and you should see it.

The easy (no $$) fix is to remove the thing. The other fix is to replace it (about $70 for both pieces, OEM discounted price)..

In my 04, I simply removed it.

Thanks

Thanks for that info, I will have this checked out but the noise seems to be coming from under the hood not under the car itself and it's on the right side.

My accessory belt tensioner was rattling. I replaced the belt and the tensioner.

Rattling noises just require you to actually check in person. Its impossible to narrow a rattle down over the internet.
