Have question for experts in A/C system.
Long story short, my compressor seized up but luckily it didn't break so I decided to change the compressor. While changing the dryer, I noticed the condenser was in pretty bad shape with stones from the road embedded in the fins and some pretty bad dents from road debris. It's a $70 part so I figured I would replace it. Since the system was open, I decided to change the expansion valve as well since I had the famous whooop! noise. My question now has to do with the amount of oil and where to add the oil. so looked at the repair manual, it specifies the amounts of oil for each component replaced in the system. For example, it specifies 25 mL (5/6 floz) of PAG oil for the condenser, 1/3 floz for the receiver/dryer, etc.. Do I add these specific amounts into each component separately before bolting the components together or into the compressor all at once? Does the oil get dispersed throughout the system properly if I add it all in the compressor? Thanks for the help.

What year is your car and what mileage. We can move it to the TSX subforum

Total oil volume is only 3-4 oz. Total of all component replacements (see attachment). Extra won't hurt anything. I used over twice as much when I rebuilt an Accord AC system.
good luck
