FM Radio Signal deteriorated

I've searched the forums here and see a lot of posts about diagnosing XM Radio problems, but not much with FM Radio. If there's already a post can someone please point me to the right place? Thanks

I have a 2008 TSX w/ Navi (161k, manual). About a year ago, my FM signal deteriorated such that I hear a lot of static when driving. This is not present in my wife's car, so I don't think the signal is weak where I live, and it wasn't always this way. Also, this is present with the rear defroster on or off, so there's no correlation there. I tried removing the radio and inspecting the connections to see if something was loose, but didn't notice any obvious problems (also I'm not sure which connection is actually the FM radio antenna).

Does anyone have any pointers on how to diagnose further? Is there a link to the connectors for the radio? or how the FM antenna is routed through the car?

Thanks in advance!

See attachment. Problem could be bad amp. You might try a temporary antenna when disassembled to see if better reception.

good luck
