Accord or 2G Cargo Net in 1G?
Hi All,
I just recently picked up a used 06 and I was looking at trunk organization options. I've looked into the 1G OEM net and 350Z net but was wondering if anyone has installed the 8th gen Accord net (08L96-TA0-100) or 2G net (08L96-TL2-200).

I started out with the 1G standing cargo net and then added the 350Z net later. I really like the 350Z net better because it just connects to the existing 4 hooks already in truck (zero drilling). The plastic hooks are a pain to clip on/off on the 350z net. I added 4 small metal carabiner from Amazon and that takes 2 seconds to unclip or stretch the net to hold items more securely. The 350z net I have can store items under the net or inside the net (clam shell design). Since it lays flat, it is never in the way. I still get some use from the hanging OEM net for items that need to stand up during transport. I use the 350z net 95% of the time.
The cargo mat has saved my butt also from spills more times I can count.

I also have a cargo mat on the way, I know it will save my butt in the future.
I've seen the other threads where you explained your setup and that's probably what I will go with. I am interested in the Accord/2G Cargo net after seeing the compartments you can create with it.

My set up worked for me for grocery shopping and sports gear. The hanging cargo net was perfect for basketballs, water bottles, and glass containers from the grocery store. I sometimes had to drop one/both seats for longer items (sport canopy, long jump rakes, sport chairs, sports bags, coolers, etc...).The Accord compartment(s) set-up wouldn't work for me; but, it might work for you.
Ended up doing the same set-up for my MDX. I only have the 350Z type net for my RDX.

I'll have to take the trunk liner out to see if it will even bolt up. Luckily there's an install video that should give me a rough idea of where the hooks will need to be placed. I was just hoping someone has already done it.

I found this web-page that has the pdf instructions towards the bottom for installing the cargo net for 08-12 Accord 2/4 doors: 08L96-TA0-100 - Genuine Honda Cargo Net
Looks like a lot of work to install. I would check aftermarket drop in cargo organizers that might be the 99% solution without the install labor.
