1996 DIY cabin air filter

so from what ive learned, my 96 TL2.5 has no CABIN air filter. does anyone know of a DIY cabin air filter? I was going to attempt to make one which would be to cut out a section of the HVAC system, but im not sure if that would be a good thing... could i trigger some sensor? problems for the AC?

Ill look over the system and try to locate an area to work on this, perhaps someone knows of a thread that has trying to make one? I know its not necessary but id like a carbon ail filter while living in LA, California (the smog).

I see what i come up with. perhaps i can purchase an Acura Legend or Vigor (if the vigor even had a cabin filter). crop down that filter to fit the system.

The RL was the first Acura with a cabin filter.
