Most likely just needs a reset? Anyone else have this happen? What could be wrong?

Unplug the negative cable of the battery and plug it back after a minute to reset.

This should wipe the code for good? Do you recommend driving around after?

There's youtube videos up that detail how to reset an SRS light with a paper clip.

Not ideal; but if the light stays off, then you're in good shape.

I got an AIR BAG light on my 2007 Kia Sportage in May 2013 when I ran the battery down detailing it... I fried both 02 sensors that New Year's Day, over $1,500 repair bill, had a few other thing done too though...

Modern vehicles don't like jump starts...

Either way, I'm happy my airbags didn't deploy in a stupid crash this past January 25/26...

I've been there, after a while it meant nothing to me, just a typical slap in the face for letting my battery drain, at least I didn't get slapped in the face by a damn airbag!!!

seat belt buckles are common. re-set it and if it comes back on go to your local dealer. might be covered under warranty
