I have the same problem on my 04 RL. The cigarette lighter stopped working while my emergency air pump was plugged into it. The outlet inside the center console still works great, and nothing else in the car seems to be lacking. I have tested every fuse I could find in the car. None if them seem to be blown. I have actually pulled the center console to expose the connections to the cig. lighter. Nothing seems to be out of place there either. Am I missing anything else?

I remember reading somewhere that it has it own ground wire. You guys might have to remove it and double check the ground wire, I think it is on the bottom of the plug.
