EGR Valve Cleaning Killed My VSA?!

EGR Valve Cleaning Killed My VSA?!
Really hoping someone can help out with this.
My Car is a 2002 Acura RL with Navi
I recently did the EGR + Intake cleaning procedure to get rid of P0401 engine light. The procedure went great, a lot of gunk build up and had clogged the passage.
However, the moment I turned my car back on after reassembling everything, while the check engine light had gone off (woo!), the VSA-Off Indicator was on along with the VSA Light. After attempting to read the VSA code, the ABS light then also came on.
I performed the VSA Neutral Position Memorization procedure, and it seemed to have worked fine. When jumping the blue diagnostic plug, my ABS light still flashes the code 9-8. The VSA-Off Light and the VSA Light do nothing.
The ABS and VSA also activates when it shouldn't be. When I brake harder than normal, I can feel the ABS grinding through the pedal. I can also feel it when taking a sharp turn. Its as if my VSA computer thinks it needs to activate even though the wheels aren't slipping. Any ideas? ECU issue? VSA modulator issue? Wheel Speed Sensor?
Any feedback would be very appreciated . I'm trying to avoid going to Acura and paying the $140 just to have them look at it.

DTC 98 shows "different model". Not sure what "model" they're referring to.
It says "** See page 19-265 ('00-01) or 19-6a ('02-04)"
Any idea what page 19-6a says, I can't find it.
I tried a number of websites to figure out what ABS 9-8 is but they all seemed different.
Any chance you accidentally unplugged something on the VSA/TCS under the hood?

Undo battery cable for a few minutes to reset ECU

Ok, I'm just disconnected the battery and am going to leave it overnight. That ought to drain it right? Are there any other procedures I can do to reset the ECU? I should do the Neutral Position Memorization again?

They suggested going through every connection as he's sure there is a bent pin.
Really do appreciate the replies

The ABS activates when the computer stops seeing pulses from a wheel sensor and would assume the DTC is set when something goes open-circuit or short-circuit.
If any recent brake/suspension work has been done, would look closely at wheel sensors and related wiring. If work has been done at VSA ECU, then likely there's a bent pin or broken wire.

To do the "brain drain" just pull both wires off the battery and touch them together for 30 seconds. That drains everything to ground and will discharge any capacitors so any memory will dump.

Great news!
Looked over many of the connections again, didn't find any problems.
Hooked battery back up.
Turned car on, same problem, both lights are still on... crap.
Decide to do the VSA Neutral Position Memorization again, just for good measure.
Attempted it like 7 times before it finally took.
Turned car back on, same lights are on... no luck
Decided I'd try it once more since I realized I had left the paper clip in the service check connector when starting vehicle.
Did the neutral position memorization one more time, took key out, fired car up, and BAM, no more freaking lights!. Yesssssssss.
Guess I somehow didn't do the procedure correctly the first time, it is pretty complicated. Anyways, want to thank you guys for your suggestions, they encouraged me to continue troubleshooting.
This is such a good sight to behold:
Now I just need to figure out how to fix my SRS Codes: 9-4 and 5-3

Glad you got it fixed. I was amazed I got mine to re-center on the first try.
Not sure what those SRS codes are but the passenger seat weight sensor is a common failure on our cars. I wasn't about to spend the money they want for a new sensor so I pulled the SRS bulb out of the cluster when I replaced the bulbs with LED's.

I had a chance to look-up those SRS codes.
9-4 is Faulty front passenger seat belt buckle switch.
I don't show 5-3 but all the 5-* codes are Internal SRS unit fault = Replace SRS unit for all.

Mine tripped another VSA light a while back. It was caused by a badly wore snow tire I'd just put on the front. I moved tires around to even the steering back up and it's stayed off since. I guess if the wheel is off center long enough the system see it and throws the re-centering code. Just something to consider.

I just had to replace my SRS Unit and sensor. They originally quoted me $2000.00. I refused. Then they said $1500.00. Called Corporate and a month later they settled with them paying $450.00 the dealership paying $450.00 which left me with $450.00. BTW I have a 2004 RL with a whopping 28,000 original California cherry miles....One reason they took care of me....Good luck with that SRS issue and paperclip approaches ETC is NOT a fix and you have no air bag deployment at all....:rolleye s:
