2000-2004 Acura RL upgrading rims question.
Hello all! Just a curious question, I'm going to purchasing a 2000 to 2004 Acura RL later in the year (really hoping to get my hands on an 04).
One of my plans is that I want to upgrade the wheels and tires, I want to stay with stock Acura rims but staying close to the factory width and diameter, but having the rims bigger to either 17 or 18s.
Though just having a wee bit of trouble trying to figure out those bloody stupid.
I know stock they come with 225/55/R16s which I'll be using for winter tires, but I want the summer wheels to make the car stand out a little for me.
So any suggestions?

That is true, I kinda want a fancy VIP look without going over the top, hence why I perfect sticking with factory Acura rims, though trying to find that fit the bolt pattern is probably going to be the tricky part!
Like I said before, I am planning to probably use the original rims for winter tires because the bigger side wall will iron out the shit roads we have here in Calgary in the Winter.

Like the crab man says, the big front caliper isn't a problem on this gen RL. I would steer clear of the super low profile tires but make sure the overall rolling diameter ends up being the same as stock. The rest is all up to your personal taste, really.
