Your RL just keeps getting better and better. Those brakes are SEXY. Im sure that thing stops on a dime. I cant imagine what you have planned next. You make me want to get a 1.5 gen RL for my next car and do these mods.

too much work, but headers, true dual exhaust, and supercharger would be nice.

too much money though. time for some cheap mods.

You mean a single DIN install with bluetooth and iPod connectivity?

I have no regrets myself.

What would be interesting to me is to keep the OEM nav, but replace the stock double din w/ a Panasonic 'Tuber'. The tuber produces awesome SQ while retaining the VIP look. Pic for those not in the know:

For those interested in coping a kit similar to Old Hatch's check out this link http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulleti...-3-5rl-122628/ pick the kit you like and then you have to have it ordered by one of the shops at the top of the page (of the link) in order to have it shipped from Japan.

Tried to pm you but said it was full???

I believe theres ahow to here, but if not look on acuralegend.org

The fronts lower 1" at lowest setting so just machine how much lower you want. I wouldnt go past 1.5though

The rears only lower 1/4" on lowest perch so if you want to lower 1" in rear then you would need to makea groove 3/4" fromthe lowest groove. I wouldnt go to low since anything more and the spring sits loose in the rear when the suspension is fully decompressed. Might not ever be a problem after the car is back on the ground, but Im anal like that.

Personally I would just do the konis. I like H&R and have had them on many of my cars, but I think they will be too soft on the RL. Point of reference for me is my wifes 2000 Accord lowered on H&R 1.5" with kyb struts. It rides very nice with a stock feel to it. My RL on the other hand has a firmer feel with the oem 02-04 springs. Not rattling kinda stiff, but nice and sporty.

Ive used this setup for 2 years and I think konis have a lifetime warranty if I remeber correctly. Machining extra grooves if done correctly willnot void warranty. I have another set of konis I sent back to them to get revalved and they themselves machined extra grooves in them for me.

ANy more questions dont hesitate to ask.

Oh and check out the suspension sticky. depending on wether you want a sporty oem ride or can deal with a harsher ride you might be able to get some tsx coilovers for about the same price as konis and machining.

Thanks riicky and VQPower37

Old hatch
Thanxs for your quick response. I read your write up a couple of times.
My plan is to put a groove 3/8" in the front for a 1 3/8 drop n 3/4 for 1" drop rear. Hopefully this will give me a drop similar to yours. Correct me if wrong.
Thanxs again

Btw nice ride. The reason im being extra careful n asking all kinds of questions is because im doing the machining at work. We have a very good shop but very busy im hopping to get this right in 1 shot. When ever u get a chance i have my old 96 rl pearl white on cardomain. I think is tittle "finest rl" Take a look i think you will like it.

You know, I can't find that spoiler to save my life. The rear of the car needs something. It looks like a big titted hot chick with no ass.
That just can't happen.

Its custom there ryk

Thanks phins2rt

02RL...yes you will need the front strut brake line bracket and perch. The front struts are a different diameter so the RL ones wont work. You should be able to just take them off in a junkyard. They'll probably charge u like 5 bucks for the brackets/perches.

Oh and they need to be OEM struts. Aftermatket ones don't have removable perches n brackets.
