Hondata & CPE

Hondata & CPE
Thanks to Wrench, I am installing the CPE intake today (I hope). Was going to reflash from the normal Flashpro tune I had done, to one with the intake installed. My RDX is a 2011, and when I went to look at the various calibrations, there are only two available, the stock and the tune one which I already uploaded. Now for the 2007 - 2009 RDX's, there are more calibrations available, obviously, one for the K&N filter as well. So you all can guess my question, can and should I use the K&N reflash on my 2011 with CPE? Why wouldn't Hondata have their calibrations work for all the models 2007 to 2011. Thanks Acura universe!

Thanks Tomtw.... I did not realize there was a difference in ECU's and tunes. Wanted to wait for a professional tune until I finish modifying with bigger injectors and I/C. Have read too many times that the base Hondata tune is nice, but not what the car can do with power down low.

Thanks Wrench. I am surprised no one else with the 2010-12 model has brought this up about the lack of maps in Hondata for any mods. Was fooling around reading about tuning. Keep AFR of 14.7 to 1. Just waiting for a couple more mods to get a vitviper tune. will get a data log to you as soon as I figure out how to do it

It was quite a difference in sound putting your CPE intake in. I thought somehow I didn't tighten it enough and it was sucking air from all around. It definitely hits full boost with little gas pedal effort. Still waiting on getting the Intercooler upgrade or downpipe. One I can probably put on myself, the downpipe, don't want to try. Then, it is professional tune time. I hope. Vehicle runs great, when I drive it that is. Have put 7500 miles on it in 19 months. It is like I am a grandma and only drive it to the supermarket and back.
