How reliable are the Superchargers and Turbos for the NSX?

How reliable are the comptech SC and the lovefab turbo setups?

Im guessing the SC is far more reliable but by how much exactly? Any major issues on the lovefab setups that people should be aware of?

Very. The S/C is a little less money, but the LoveFab kit would be some serious fun!

The LoveFab kit is crazy and the LoveFab NSX has almost 1000 whp. The vids on that car are unreal.

The Comptech S/C kit is hands down probably the most reliable kit for that car though.

The CTSC is definitely the most reliable FI solution for the NSX. I can attest to this fact.

There are quite a few options for FI on the NSX:
Supercharger:
Autorotor S/C
Comptech Whipple Unit
Comptech Autorotor Unit (most reliable)
Basch Boost S/C
and a few others

The Comptech Autorotor requires no tuning has has a very smooth powerband that is linear.

For turbo, cody at lovefab is the guy to go to. Personally if I wanted a FI daily driver NSX, I'd go with the autorotor CTSC since no tuning required and as well it is much more linear. If you want the most power, the 50K kit from lovefab that will put you at over 1000 WHP is your way to go...

Autorotor CTSC is the best bang for the buck in my mind, it doesn't have as much peak power as the others, but it helps the entire band rather than the top end, and as well requires no tuning for the regular one, the high boost on requires it.

Yep im eying the "budget" kit... ill most likely just drive to MI to have him install it.

Maybe end of summer though or spring 2010. I have a list of other crap that needs to be done first. Plus track days will be pricey

There's also the HP turbo kit and over at NSXprime some people seem to like it a lot. They are think it's quite reliable since HP is a bigger company and is famous for making kits for domestic cars. From what I've read, there are 3 stages, stage 1 and stage 2 can be installed on stock engine, and I think you can run a maximum of 8psi or 11psi. That should be good enough for 400-500whp. I can't remember the exact numbers but the stage 1 kit is like $8k.

I guess i just like the fact that lovefab isnt too far. So in case i need support for anything i can just take it to him.

Unless i can find a good shop around here that knows the NSX well. Which i still havent.

^ Agreed. You can't put a price on local support & good customer service. Lovefab provides both.
