New 99 CL 2.3 owner saying hello
Hi all.
Just picked up a 99 2.3 CL for my daughter.
90,000 original miles - clean title. almost flawless interior.
Minor cosmetics on the outside - will need a new passenger side door, but just standard scuffs on some other places.
Bought it from a private party for $2800.
All she has had done so far is a trip to the Honda dealer for a new timing belt/water pump, both front tie rod end boots, and all fluids flushed and re-filled. (and a nice detail). All other major items checked out just fine.
Things needed still:
Passenger rear wheel bearing
Full tune-up
Oil pan gasket replacement
Things I need to do myself:
Driver door actuator and handle (actuator has actually been REMOVED, so the only way to open the driver door is manually)
New passenger door.
New wood trim around center console (thats the only thing really wrong on the inside)
Must say I'm impressed with this car. I knew Acura/Hondas were always top notch, but thing drives like a cloud - all nice and tight in the front end and smooth as silk. Amazed at the power it has as well.
I'd like to replace the headlamps.
if any of you have any feedback on that, i've posted what i think i want to purchase over on the DIY forum here.
Anyhow, just wanted to say hola, and i've enjoyed reading through all these threads for the past couple of weeks.. Just created my account today.
Cheers!
