college is a bitch. i havent been on here since september. and, i havent done shit with my car since then.

but, i got some silverstars a couple days ago, and so far they're a lot better then the originals. i just to fix the aim and it'll be money.

also, clear corners should be in the works. and come summertime, window visors, redoing the paint on the brakes, HIDs (if the silverstars burn out), replacing some bulbs, interior lighting, and if i make enough money, an in-dash navi.

For the CL, I ordered my Navi unit. Should be here Wednesday. I know absolutely nothing about car stereo's, but decided I'll do the install and bypass myself. It doesn't sound like it's too hard.

Also, I put the Buick motor back together. I used all GM parts to keep the car original.

The paint is pretty dull so the next step is to have it resprayed.

The reason why I was considering CF was because I might eventualy get a CF hood. I'm just gonna use black vinyl though.
color modding is where you take the washers and add them to the distance between the shield and the lense, not the complete housing. if you are going to add washers add them to the mounting holes for the shield not the housing. I would trial and error it but I added 2 to my stock shield which I shaved down with a file to get crazy colors, after I filed it down I shaved off about .18 of the top of the cut off.

brakes are the one thing on a car ill admit i have little experience with. but i owned a crx setup like that back a few years ago and you had to be light on the brakes otherwise you would lock them up instantly it seemed. what would be the advantage to it other than the weight loss. is it better braking. seems like it might be more of a race setup than street, am i right?

Big 3

So I did the Big 3 a while back, but never got a chance to upload the pics from it. When I got my new amp today, I decided it might be a good idea to throw some pics up, in case others (Mitch, cough cough) are interested in doing it. I highly recommend upgrading these 3 wires, it makes a huge difference in the electrical capabilities of our cars, especially since they're getting pretty old... anyway, on to pics:
Materials used:

I used 1/0 awg wire (~4300 strand count, iirc). this is not necessary, but I'd rather go overboard once, than to have to re-do it again this spring...

One ground loop done.

new ground terminal

How to make 1/0 awg ring terminals fit into our stock fuse boxes? Easy: bench grinder...

new alternator + to fuse box

+ wire from the fuse box to the + battery terminal

ground wires, red wire coming from the fuse box, and the gray conduit I used to shield the alternator + to fuse box

Original idea for new box

New amp...

project wheel well revamping
im sick of the way my wheels looked, i think black with a chrome lip ive overplayed. and ive kinda been moving more to the jdm look so i wanted to go ahead and make a change with my wheels. The only concern i had was that my wheels had already been powdercoated, so i was worried about the paint sticking. so this was a gamble. here was what it looked like before.

and heres everything i got.

end of first stage:

and then this weekend i was going to do the rest, which is my centercaps, lugnuts, and calipers.
so i started the take today, and then something came up out of no where and i had to throw everything back together and take off. so im gonna go ahead and probable finish the rest of the center caps this week. but next weekend im looking to do all the lug nuts, calipers, and im cooking something up quite like this:

well heres the one wheel i did today, minus the ACURA caliper mod
