Anyone help me out?
I went to Titan Motor Sports today, by advice from someone on the forum, to get a vafc 2 installed and dyno my car and the dude put it in and, because the dyno wasn't working, set everything to zero. My car went crazy a few feet out of the parking lot and the check engine light came on. I had to turn around and have him uninstall it (said it was the pressure gauge). So now I have the controller in my car and I can't hook it up ‘til next week once he reads up on it. Anyone know what could be wrong? He said vafc doesn't work on the 2.3 cl (lame engine I know) but I read that it worked on any vtec (except the sohc i-vtec). Any advice on what might have been wrong on the install? Thanks.
he reads up on it.
your paying him as a professional that knows what he is doing if he has to read up on it... i dont know how reassuring that is
but i guess if Titan Motor sports can build a 8 sec supra then they could probably install a VFAC

dude he set everything to 0!!!
meaning he set your Vtec to engage at 0 RPMs!!!!!!!
I am sure that is not a good thing at all...
fuel to 0?
air flow to 0?
wtf is wrong with that guy at the shop?

yeah well when i started up my car i drove it six feet and the check engine light came on and my car felt like a geo metro... no power at all. if they did mess up my car i'd be driving home in a supra... i'm so pissed. im just going to get my money back and take it some place else. I could have done exactly what those"experts" at titan did, that's why i took it to them, so i wouldn't fuck up my car.... anyone else have any GOOD suggestions on a shop near orlando that can install the vafc and tune it?

It takes a lot more than just messing with the computer to have a vafc. You have to have all your settings just right to have it actually give it some hp. Me and my cousin installed one in his prelude and it did the same thing cuz we didn't know how to set it. WE had to call a professional from LA to come and set it for $100/hour. Take to someone who knows what they're doing. It'll save you money time and parts.
