TLX prices paid
Hi guys. Long time lurker here😄. I thought I'll be waiting for 3 yrs to get an off- lease TLX, but we are thinking of trading our car for a brand new TLX.
Anyway, I tried searching for prices paid and all i can see are lease prices. So, members please share how much you paid. I'm still undecided what model to get but my wife is leaning on the base I4 with tech.
Thanks!

OK. I made a deal last nyt and I forgot to mention that according to Edmunds there is a regional incentive going on. But it says the incentive comes from Acura to dealer pricing.
Can anyone explain this to me? I don't want to look stupid and blame the guy last night that he is not including everything on the deal.
I'm a new owner of BCP/espresso I4 base.

Sheezzz! It was a good tool to haggle price then. Ha! To bad it's already done. Do you they would give a damn if I mention it in post survey? My guy told me after the sale to make him look good in the survey.

Do you know for sure they didn't pass the savings on to you? They could have used it to bring down the cap cost.
What was the final deal you got?

For what it is, the I4 is a great buy if you don't "need" the power at a decent price.

Congrats to both of you on the new I4s. You should love them. I honestly find the power and handling to be more than enough, even in comparison to my 15 V6 SH-AWD that I leased for 16 months before I got into my 2.4 Tech. And I do love the 8speed DCT! As they say, each to his own
Enjoy!

I got 16 TLX i4 Tech in July 2016 for $330 (tax included), $0 Down with 15k/year lease.
I did pay $500 for the Remote Start though and about $150 in tax on the edmunds rebate. Believe selling price was close to $30k.

New guy here! I bought a Lunar Silver TLX SH-AWD with Advance two weeks ago. I got a $9,316 discount off of list, got the dealer "pack" free (mud flaps, pinstriping, paint sealant) free. My driveout with Alabama taxes (4%) and all fees was $38,700. All in all I think a great deal and a great value. I did considerable research as usual for me looking at the Ford Fusion Sport, Mercedes CLA 4motion, Audi A3 quattro and A4 quattro, Lincoln MKZ AWD, etc. My main goal was an AWD car (I work at a hospital and ALWAYS have to make it in). My goal a combination of value, performance and luxury in that order. 500 miles so far and so good! I did extensive test drives looking for transmission weirdness and vibrations and nothing thus far.
I came out of a 2011 Fusion Sport that I bought with the plan to hand down to my daughter as her car, (16 in July) so in contrast this is a BIG step up. Prior I've had an Audi A4 and this is reminiscent of that experience.

I'm getting quotes from dealers thru Edmunds and emails, and they're offering me $25K for a I4 TLX base and $28K for the Tech before TTL fees. Should I bite or try to negotiate? I want to take advantage of the 0.9 APR financing for 60 mos.
I have seen 2016 TLX tech's on Autotrader as brand new, but I find it weird why they have not been sold yet. Anyone know why they're still on the lots?

Yeah, my dealer has a 2015 SH-AWD advance never sold. In my research this is a car with a rocky history and poor marketing. Both transmissions have had issues. The 2017 does better in the small surface front impact crash results than the 2016 so that was something for me, but otherwise not much difference year to year as far as I could tell. I started with TruCar in a nearby city (Atlanta) and took those numbers to my local dealer. Back and forth I got a deal I could not believe. Personally I felt the newer the better for this vehicle. I got a somewhat sweeter deal I think since mine was a september 2016 build of the 2017. Test drive extensively, negotiate viciously, and follow your gut!

Thanks mmcdaniel33! I wasn't sure if it was right for me to actually present the prices from other dealers. Or if I could even lie LOL. Now I'm torn whether it's work a 3K upgrade to go from base to tech. Family member almost talked me out of it and going to base to save money. My aim was to get it maybe 28K OTD including California tax title and license fees. But it's starting to look bad since most dealers are offering 28K as their adjusted price.

If you can get it for 28k OTD then that would be a spectacular deal which would put the selling price around 26k. Especially if its a 2017. I pickup up my 2017 about a month ago V6 tech with added fog lights and trunk lid spoiler for just over 34k and I thought that was pretty good since without the added installed items the price would have been be a bit under 33k so about 7k off the sticker price. I wish I had waited for the 2018 though but if it looks as nice as it does in person as the pictures I will probably trade it for the aspec model over the summer if i can do it for less than 7k additional out of pocket. They literally announced the 2018 debut at the auto show 2 days after I picked up the car but I was tired of waiting to see what it would look like and what additional changes they were making. I don't think you will see the big discounts on the 2018 models anytime soon so depending on your budget the 2017 or a leftover 2016 is a nice deal now.

which of these vehicles did you actually test drive and if you drove the mkz, which engine did it have? what was your impression of these other vehicles and did your choice of the acura pretty much come down to price/value?

Picked up 2017 TLX SH-AWD Elite in Canada just yesterday ---> @ 47K CAD after $6600 worth of rebates. Pretty much saved on all the taxes (13% of selling price) alongside only the mandatory fees (freight etc) no "BS" admin fee... simply put one of the best dealerships that don't add any nonsense costs in between! Pretty amazing deal tbh.
Not advertising them, but I dealt with someone in "Acura of Oakville" and they've been very down to earth with their deals!

Bo... I drove a daily plain MKZ with the 2 liter engine. Issue with Lincoln was minimal equipments and minimal discount. Drove the A3. Liked it and some decent discounts, but too small. Zero storage in cabin and stupid cup holders. The A4 was simply more than I was willing to pay. I actually liked the little Benz, but limited equipment and no crash tests. Never pursued a deal on it after looping back to the TLX. I had actually ruled the TLX out earlier but decided to take another look. I liked the new fusion and it's a rocket. But the quality and FORD turned out to dim its attraction. I hated the instrument panel. When you think about it as a driver you spend a lot of time looking at that thing. I absolutely love th classics look of the TLX gauges. I find the infotainment system very satisfying.
The deal was a big dollop of icing on the cake!

I've had my '16 SH-AWD Advance since last August. I got what I felt was a killer deal on it as the dealer was clearing out the last 2016's to make room for their already present '17s. No other dealer in 500 miles would come anywhere near this one's price.
It looks like they're finally getting down to those numbers on the 17's now. Here's my breakdown:
Starting price: <!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->$38,490.00
Pre-installed extras(<!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->Door edge guards, wheel locks, mud flaps, all weather mats, trunk mat, nitro fill): <!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->$1,023.60
Dealer Fees: $699
Dealer Rebate: $1,000
Edmunds Acura Bottom Line Rebate Coupon: $1,750
Total less tax: $37,462.60
They had the extras pre-installed and wouldn't change that pricing (which was high), but instead gave me another $1,000 on my trade-in.

Knowing the 2018 was out next month I picked up a 2017 3.5 v6 Tech FWD MSRP $40,450 for 20% off today. $8k off @ $32,360 or $34,400 OTD w/ tax,fees,etc.
I probably could had gotten $9k off but I'm satisfied.
$34k even or under is definetly possible on any leftover 2017. Also got the 0.9 % for 60 month.

In my case I opted to go with my bank and took advantage of better price.
so new buyers - watch out for more fireworks during the last week of this month as month of 'MAY' incentives may expire soon..
