Scratched my new car against garage wall

There's no dent but any idea how to fix the scratched and how much it will cost?

This is kind of impossible to answer with no details, and not even a picture.

If its just paint transfer from your wall to the car, a detailer should be able to get it out, if the car's paint has been scratched off down to primer/metal, then you'll need to visit a body shop.

Amounts for any of the above will depend on how many body panels have been scratched, and how long/wide the damage is.

It is always hard to tell from a picture but I'd expect $150-200 from a good detailer with 80%-95% recovery and 4-5 times that amount from a body shop with a like new end result.

The best way to find out how much it will cost to repair it is to take it to a professional shop and get an estimate from them.

Fatima....The quality of the picture makes it a bit hard to gauge but if I was a betting man, I would say 800-900$.

A good job to make it back to brand new $700-1,000. I know wit seems a bit too much but your car will be flawless. a $200 job won't make you happy I can assure you.

Good luck!

Hard to tell from the picture. Is the bumper deformed in any way or is it just scratches?

Can you feel the scratches with your fingernail? What was the garage wall made of, cement block, drywall, wood? (kinda looks like an abrasive concrete scratch).

I did something similar in a previous car. When backing into the garage I rubbed the front side bumper against the wooden door frame as I angled the car towards the wall of the garage. The majority of the marks were just paint transfer which came off with a little Meguiars Scratch-X.

Did you ignore your parking sensors beeping?!

Repairs really depend on your area and what detailers charge to try and correct it. If it's deep enough of a scratch it may need to be repainted altogether.

I have to say I have an advance model which comes with the parking sensors and THEY SUCK. Especially the front ones. It only picks up object when your going at an angle and there are only 2 in the front which is unheard of. The back ones do a better job but the front 2 are a complete joke.

If these scratches don't catch a finger nail when rubbing over them you'll have some options to try first. I would try a clay bar with some ScrathX wax afterwards and see if you like the result. Otherwise, I might wait a little bit longer before going the new paint or touchup route to get your 'money's worth'

PaintScratch.com has some great paint and tools to do the work yourself if you're up to the task..

My front sensors go off about 1-2 feet away. Annoying at ATM machines and drive thru's. I'm just sitting there and the senor just won't stop even when the car is still.

Have an advance model myself and yeah they're not very good, especially to the 2013 GS350 I drive every now and then.

Acura really cut corners with only two at the front, though they work well enough to prevent that kind of damage TS has, assuming it wasn't being backed out when it received the damage.

That damage looks to be through the paint at the edges, and vertically along the bumper. Hard to say, but are those horizontal lines through the paint as well?

To fix the damage completely, you are looking at refinishing, and repainting the bumper, and will have to visit a body shop. Prices can vary depending on where you live, but a quality job in my neck of the woods would probably run around $700ish.
